This was the second time for me in this, IBIS. On the floors in the hallways, you can clearly see that this is a little bit of an older IBIS however, the rooms are good, the bar restaurant is updated and the location is absolutely fantastic. Keep in mind, it is quite hard to find by car since it is in the pedestrian zone and also Gent has a low emission zone. Breakfast was good. The staff is very welcoming and very kind. I especially want to mention Charlie, who was very welcoming upon our arrival and also Manti working in the bar was amazing. She was really going the extra mile when for example seeing that my mom had really cold hands, she gave us two hot mugs so we could keep our hands around it and warm up again. This hospitality, going the extra mile! We had a great stay and we’ll definitely will be coming back whenever we go to Gent.

Location was perfect. First room allotted had such a bad stink, we had to rush out and ask for room change. Which they immediately changed so that is good. Sheet in new room had stains. We didn’t want to keep complaining so didn’t say anything. The sheet Wasn’t changed through the 5 nights we stayed there. Towels were taken but not replaced. Had to go to reception and get fresh towels each day. Room is just too basic. Not even a kettle.

Excellent location of the hotel in very heart of very nice city, nice & wellcoming staff at the reception and cleaning staff, good breakfast. The only disturbing thing was the noise that some people made in the hotel in few night hours of saturday night.
