First night here. Q bed with blanket and second bed without blanket. I want to the reception and they told me there are no blankets available. I could get a sheet. It is very Cold. First and last time that I will come to this hotel.

Good hotel close to the Metro Station

The Hotel is very close (less than 5 minutes walk) to La Defense-Esplanade metro station, which is 20 minutes away (by Metro) from Arc de Triomphe, so you can easily go to the city center and come back more than once during your stay. The hotel has a small gym, the receptionist are ok even if one or two of them were happy to leave English speaking guests to their colleagues. Cleaning staff was also kind even if had to call 3 times in 4 days because some of the towels were missing after the room was cleaned. There was not much space for 2 parents and 2 kids in the room, for short stays it is still ok but if we had to stay a couple of days more, that would have been a problem. During our stay we had a problem with the WC, which was solved properly and quickly enough by the staff. I think all rooms or almost all of them have a nice view on the Seine river and the Eiffel Tower. I cannot comment on breakfast because we did not use it. Note on Novotel in France: in other countries you may expect from a 4 stars hotel a Minibar and Shower caps available, for some reason Novotel hotels in France don't have Minibar in the rooms, and shower caps are not in the rooms and are not even available at the reception. Also, the WC is often by itself in small room within your hotel room, and it is not where the bathtub and the sink are. Overall you may feel that the level of the hotel is not a full 4 stars, but if you take into account that you are in Paris at a Metro station 20 minutes from the city center you get a lot for the price. I would be happy to book this hotel again in the future.

Horrible treatment horrible breakfast

We were lucky if we could get a seat at breakfast and not have to share the table with complete strangers. In addition on many occasions the food would run out and the waiters were too rude to talk to and had to argue with them to convince them to replenish the buffet. On top of that the management refused to change the time slot allocated for breakfast, quoting “organizational issues”, despite the fact that for health reasons I requested to be allowed to change breakfast time at an earlier slot. So I would certainly avoid staying here ever again.

They do not encourage English speaking tourists...especially the GREEM restaurant and the breakfast team. Very rude

We stayed here as part of a psg soccer experience. Several families left the hotel and booked at a neighboring hotel. Unfortunately, that is not something I can afford. I find it hard to have any actual redeeming qualities for this hotel. The beds were extremely firm and I was unable to sleep through the night during our entire 7 night stay. They provide a breakfast which generally wasn’t stocked well enough with forks. I used my fingers or a spoon most days. The breakfast itself is a buffet style with fruit, yogurt with toppings and eggs, bacon and mini hotdogs that are cooked in cast iron crockpots. The eggs were always very runny and the bacon was not crisp at all. The only enjoyable part was the croissants. The worst part of this experience was the smell. There is a sewage smell that comes up the elevator shafts and fills the hallways. The elevators keep the smell for a relatively long time. I accidentally made it to level -2 which is where the smell originates. Due to this problem, there are a lot of flies in the hotel. As part of our experience, we could not upgrade from the tiny room to something more spacious as the booking portal shows. The images are deceiving. The view is not as close as it looks. The foosball table requires euros to play. The gym is tiny. Almost no room to do stretching exercises. There is a treadmill, elliptical and stationary bike. There is a weight machine that is very creaky and old. The hotel is right next to the metro stop for La defense and is about a 15 minute walk to the mall. The metro takes about 20-30 minutes to get to the city. If you can afford it, book a room with a neighboring hotel.
