Great small hotel situated a stones throw from the ferry terminal. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Everything we wanted. Great as a stopover. I wouldn’t go there for a holiday as it’s not really suited for that. Secure parking behind a barrier A warm welcome on arrival.

Good location, friendly staff and dogs are permitted. Unfortunately the cleaning under the beds is nonexistent and the remote for the TV don’t work. Breakfast is ok for the 3 star hotel, nothing fancy.

I have always thought of Ibis Hotels as being quite basic and not somewhere we would want to stay but due to a late ferry this hotel seemed a good location for one night. I stand corrected this hotel exceeded my expectations. Axel on reception could not do enough for us and made checking in and and settling in with a drink extremely easy, despite the fact he had a lot of other guests checking in at the same time. He is a credit to Ibis for his efficiency and good humour. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed for a night's stay. Breakfast was plentiful and good value for money with smiling helpful staff. We will most certainly stay here again.

I was very disappointed by the customer service I received at this branch of the Ibis chain. On arrival I asked if I could use an alternative card to the credit card I had used to secure the reservation. I was told it was not possible but confirmation from the manager after my stay confirmed that it was possible. I got the impression that the receptionist either didn’t know how to deal with my request or couldn’t be bothered. Her attitude didn’t really confirm the former! Then when my complaint was made to the manager no attempt to answer this or my other questions was made. I guess the receptionist takes her cue from the manager. Avoid this hotel until re training has taken place.

We stayed for just one night prior to catching the ferry to Portsmouth. The hotel is situated on a retail park, which is handy for Carrefour & other shops & restaurants. It offers basic but clean accommodation & my rating should really be 3 1/2 stars. We didn't eat breakfast, as we had an early start. The bar was OK, although I thought the drinks were overpriced. All in all, OK for a short stay.
