Great IBIS hotel. Looked after very well by Celine. All staff good good parking. Ate in local fare was good. Too many small bottles of red wine. Room was very good and warm. Breakfast more than ok. Would stay again.

Exhausted after stay

We stayed here on drive back from Portugal we were put into a room next to a couple and a baby who appeared to be living there ,the baby kept crying and every time it did the woman and man started shouting it was a nightmare ,no sleep and had to drive 500 miles !!

The hotel is located in the area of Beaulieu, a suburb of Poitiers, close to the university. It is situated in a quiet, residential area, and NOT on an industrial estate as many Ibis hotels are. It appeared to be used as a residence by workers or students from the university. The staff, particularly a young receptionist named Elise, were extremely pleasant and helpful. There is a bar but the hotel no longer has a restaurant, which is a shame as I feel it would benefit by having one, as there is nowhere within walking distance to eat. My wife and I opted to buy food from the major supermarket that is about six minutes drive away, that we ate in our room. The bedroom and communal areas were clean and comfortable, in keeping with the usual expected style of the Ibis chain. The breakfast was also of good quality.

Disappointed that there was no longer a restaurant at this hotel for dinner. The service was adequate, the breakfast was good. Overall okay for an overnight stay on our way further south. We would probably stay again if necessary.

Very reasonably priced, just off the motorway. Comfortable and clean couldn't ask for more 👍🏼

We stayed here as an overnight stop as we were travelling through France. The hotel is situated just off the motorway so it's really handy and very accessible. The concierge lady was extremely helpful and speaks French and English. She was very accommodating and helped us with the local area in finding a place to eat for the night. We highly recommend a 10 minute walk or 2 minutes by car to the nearby out of town restaurant area. We ate in a place called Leon De Bruxelles, beautiful fish and they specialise in Moules of every variety. The room itself at IBIS was basic as you would expect for £62.50. A tip for you if you are planning on staying here and haven't already booked. If you book from booking.com you will save yourself money. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms very peaceful and dark in the night. Plenty of hangers to hang your clothes up. There is a hairdryer built into the bathroom but not very powerful. The only downside I find with such hotels is that there is never a plug point by a mirror so you have to blow dry your hair totally blind. Breakfast was only €5 and you can have all you can eat included in that. There is a station where you can boil your own eggs which is fantastic ! Plenty of choice of cheese and hams. We would definitely stay here again.
