Nice & big hotel close to the airport. Overall, our stay was good. Reception is ok a bit slow due to the number of people arriving at the time. They have shuttle bus service to pick up people from the airport. The room has no electric kettle, quite basic. Suitable for transit.

Stayed night before an early flight. Room was a good size. Big windows. Hotel itself was huge. Like a little town itself with bar,3 restraints ( posher one, buffet, and American diner) shop for drinks and snacks ( not cheap)and a souvenir shop. Computers ironing section. Lots of lifts and escalator. Free shuttle to airport about 10 minutes. from very early and breakfast starts very early. Overall very handy.

We had to go to this hotel due to our flight being delayed but I don’t understand anyone who would go here by choice. Check in was swift but when we wanted a tea/coffee we discovered there wasn’t this in the room so went downstairs. Self service should be available but nobody knew where the cups came from - eventually we were told to go to the restaurant where we were greeted with a lovely African lady with her mouth full and proceeded to eat constantly for the next 30 minutes. There is no niceties or customer service here as she pointed to the “cups” (wall) tea is €4. Buffet looks as if you’ll get food poisoning from it and will cost you €20 for the privilege. we decided to go for dinner at the burger bar but thats also a total waste of time. €20 euros each burger/ chips - that’s if the waiter can take your order properly. He called his manager to correct our order as he’d not charged us/ ordered two items even though there was two of us and charged us for something we didn’t want. He got his manager who was as much use as a chocolate teapot and was very easily confused by the simple situation. In the end we were laughing instead of crying - as they proceeded to keep making food and drinks and wanting us to collect them ( lol) we ate a few chips and had had enough. The hotel is very basic and will do for a nap but I believe is €90 a night so plenty of better places to go that don’t charge you for every little thing. You’re totally captive here as it’s on a highway.

Oh dear, how Accor standards have sunk to. This is probably the worst Ibis I've ever stayed at. Run-down, tired rooms, with a corner of the lobby cordoned off due to what looked like an issue with the ceiling. To say the rooms are basic is an understatement, especially the bathroom, where you are only provided with a single towel (to do your face, back etc..!). After an arduous journey to the hotel, where I had to wait more than 30 minutes for a packed shuttle and an underwhelming accommodation experience, I didn't want to try the breakfast. I escaped as soon as possible the following morning. Disappointed as once the Ibis/Accor brand gave you a guarantee of consistent standards, not these days it seems.

Arrived at Schiphol late and flying early next day. Choose the Ibis because of price, it is a bit cheaper than the others with walking distance from the terminal. Shuttle bus free of charge departs outside Schiphol Plaza ever 15 min. or so, look for a bus with the Ibis logo. Also same in the morning. The hotel is huge, it even has escalators inside, which I have never seen before in a hotel. The reception area is also the biggest ever with a snack bar and even a small turist shop. Its hip and cool, with plenty of seating area. From here, it looks like a 4 star hotel. Then up the escalators you go and enter the corridor to the rooms. The carpets are from another time and the hotel stop being hip and funky. You can see its a bit old and its like entering another time zone from the reception area. There is no minibar (and I had some cheese I’d like to store in a fridge) and no water boiler. The bathroom is also from another day. Dont get me wrong, the room is ok, just old. The bed is comfy. In contrast to the reception area. The restaurant was not open, only the buffee. Didnt have a look there, but went to the small burger shop in the 2nd floor. Brought some dirty fries to my room, which was OK, I guess. Did not have breakfast. All in all an OK hotel for one night with the shuttle. But if I were to stay longer or bring a family, I’d stay somewhere else. But this is an airport hotel, so fair enough. If I could save €100, its good enough.
