No restaurant or bar on a Sunday

We have stayed in many Novotels before and have found that standards in each hotel are not similar.This Novotel is on an industrial park and without a car your are isolated.The rooms are ok however, the cleaning needs to be more thorough.Toothpaste marks all over the wall by the sink in both rooms.Mirrors on the bathroom doors dirty.No proper mattress protector just a sheet that did not fully cover the mattress then another sheet that didn’t fit well placed loosely on top.In addition,having the cleaner knock on the door at 8am is a first!No restaurant or bar on a Sunday is also a first for us.We we’re shocked and surprised as it is so inhospitable . Only positives are the pool and the staff are friendly.However, it was shocking to note that only member of staff was on duty in the whole hotel.She was very helpful but this Novotel is definitely cutting corners.

While our restaurant and bar services are indeed limited on Sundays, snacks are available 24 hours for our guests' convenience. Regarding the location, we are situated near the harbour and offer a unique garden terrace with an outdoor swimming pool, providing a tranquil escape despite our proximity to the industrial park. We understand that without a car, transportation can be challenging, but we are just a short drive from the Antwerp city centre with a tram stop nearby for easier access. Moreover, we acknowledge the importance of cleanliness and apologise for any oversight. Our housekeeping team is dedicated to maintaining high standards, and we welcome guests to inform us of any deficiencies so we can address them promptly. Concerning the timing of our cleaning services, we strive to ensure that they are conducted at convenient times for our guests and regret any disturbance caused. Nonetheless, we are glad to hear that the pool was a highlight of your stay. Our outdoor swimming pool is a cherished feature among guests, open during the summer for everyone's enjoyment. We are committed to providing a welcoming and accommodating service, and we are immensely thankful for your kind words about our team. We certainly hope that we can welcome you back again. Room is fine but location awful

The staff were kind and helpful and the room clean and comfortable. But the location only works if you have a car. Surroundings are grim and getting there from central Antwerp was pure hell. The error was made by my travel agent so I do not fault Novotel. Only upside was nearby Hechi restaurant the only eatery within many kilometers which offers a fixed price buffet that is very good if you are very hungry.

Out of the city a fair way. Old and tired and in need of a renovation. Booked for 2 adults and 2 teenagers and room was way too small and one of the teens had to sleep on the floor as fold out bed was a single. Staff were good and parking was free. Restaurant wouldn’t give me a proper knife and fork to take back to my room as I might steal it…..

Extremely poor service right from coming inside the reception. Never been to hotel where receptionist will look at you because we are black family she decided to give nasty attitude towards my family. No communication or whatsoever regarding the hotel or how operate the electricity in the hotel. What a racist hotel and nasty behaviour from the receptionist.
