Unique spot in Belgium

Mechelen is such a unique spot in Belgium, and the Novotel there is a great choice. The place is super clean, and every staff member I came across was professional and courteous. The hotel is well-maintained, though the Executive room I got is bit on the smaller side. The breakfast spread is fantastic, and the location is right in the center, about a 10-15min walk from the train station, even with my large (25kg+) bag. There are tons of restaurants nearby, and Spar supermarket just a 3min walk away. I really loved both the hotel and the location

宿泊は旅行エージェント経由で予約し支払い済み、バウチャー所有での宿泊にも関わらず、現地レセプションでも宿泊費を請求された。チェックアウトの際にフロントの二人のスタッフに何度も説明したが愚かな二人は理解せず彼らの正当性を主張。マネージャーを呼んでもらい、マネージャーは当方の説明を正しく理解しクレジットカードの支払いをキャンセルしてくれた。愚かな二人のために貴重な時間をロスしクレジットカードの請求が正しく処理されているかその後のフォローの時間も奪われ、非常に不快な経験をした。スタッフへの正しい教育をしてください!

Dear Mr Hiroyuki, Thank you for your feedback. The reception followed procedure as instruction in case of a reservation without payment nor guarantee. As the communication from the travel agency was insufficient a guarantee was required till the issue was resolved. Your opinion of this in no case does reflect the capabilities of our team as they did do what was expected. The manager on site has been trained for complicated situations like these as therefor resolved your case rapidly. Room was a good size with a comfortable bed. AC in the room was a nice touch. As was the large screen TV. Breakfast was very good, with a nice choice of hot and cold food. The check in and check out procedure was quick and easy. Location is perfect for walking around Mechelen

We stayed here 2 or 3 times before. Very well located in the city centre, easy access to restaurants, clean, good beds, extensive breakfast, good shower, parking garage below the hotel. We had a pleadant stay.

Upon arriving we informed the front desk that our toilet seat was not cleaned properly. We were told someone would come up to clean but I regret to say that no one did until the next day. Higher rates than usual for a Novotel with average facility, average cleaning and average service.
