Stopover in basic ibis, parking on square nearby

We were driving late at night and wanted to lay our heads down so arrived there about midnight. You park at Groote Markt and walk to the hotel for about 100 meters. Hotel is on the left from the Market Hall when facing it. Check in was very informative. I never stayed in red Ibis before so was pleasantly surprised that we could have beers for our welcome voucher. Green Ibis Styles only offers soft drinks. Both rooms allocated to us were next door facing courtyard. It was really quiet at night. Room is tiny 15 sqm and not carpeted so good to bring slippers. Everything is clean but spartan and basic. I forgot shampoo and conditioner from home which in any four star hotel does not pose an issue but here you only have really terrible shower gel. Towels are thin. But I need to be fair and not expect more from this hotel category and price I paid. On the square you have great breakfast cafe offering views over Market Hall where there is very caring service and good good croque monsieur but bring cash as they don’t accept cards. By check out you can buy parking exit for 7 Euros which is great value for overnight stay. If you continue to Holland allow extra time before forever jammed Antwerp. Overall it was as good as it could be.

The Hotel is in a good location in the centre and very close to the Grote Markt. Rooms are basic but functional. No kettle or iron so bring your own if needed. My only issue was no socket near to the mirror when getting ready. Beds were clean and comfortable. There was air conditioning but couldn’t get it to work through the night. Good selection at breakfast which set you up for the day. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Good value hotel.

Fabulous hotel in a fantastic location, right in the centre! Massive public carpark that if you take your ticket to the hotel you pay a reduced price. Came here with 10 friends for our jiu jitsu seminar and plan to be back October 2024. The staff are so helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean, big, warm and inviting. The shower is fabulous. Lovely big comfy beds. My whole group was very happy.

Lovely hotel really central , stayed on a coach trip with friends , staff were lovely and the beds comfy , no kettle in room so bring a travel kettle ! Breakfast is very nice , would recommend this hotel , it suited 3 ladies very well
