Bonjour David, Thank you for sharing your experience. I am deeply concerned to read your feedback and sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered during your stay. What you describe is far below the standard we aim to provide at Sofitel, and I completely understand your frustration. Please know that we take reports of maintenance, cleanliness, and guest comfort extremely seriously. I have shared your comments with our management and engineering teams to ensure these concerns are addressed immediately. Your observation about the humidity and aging infrastructure highlights areas where urgent attention is required, and we are committed to acting on this. I am heartened to hear that our team was able to provide some level of service despite these challenges. We pride ourselves on our staff, and your recognition of their honesty and professionalism means a great deal. While your experience did not meet your expectations—or ours—I hope you might consider giving us another opportunity in the future. I am truly sorry to read that your experience did not reflect the high standards of luxury and service that Sofitel is renowned for. Please accept my apologies for the series of inconveniences you encountered, from the fire alarm disruption to the errors at check-in and in the restaurant. The evacuation procedure you described is certainly not reflective of our usual efficiency, and I regret the confusion and frustration it caused. I will be personally addressing this matter with our Front Office teams to ensure clearer communication and coordination should such an incident occur again. I also note your comments regarding the room and bathroom condition. We are in the process of planning future capital enhancements, and your feedback reinforces the importance of these discussions with our owners. Regarding your breakfast and coffee service experience, please rest assured that I will share this feedback with our Director of Food & Beverage to ensure our team receives the training and attention to detail expected in a Sofitel breakfast service. I am truly sorry to learn that your experience did not meet your expectations, especially as you were celebrating such a special occasion. Please accept my sincere apologies for the disappointment you felt with the presentation of your room and the initial welcome you received on arrival. This certainly does not reflect the warm and refined service we aim to provide, nor the sense of French elegance that defines the Sofitel brand. Your feedback regarding the furnishings, décor, and value for money has been carefully noted and will be shared with our leadership team for review as we continue to assess future refurbishment plans and training focus. I am, however, pleased to hear you found comfort in our bedding — a hallmark of Sofitel’s signature “MyBed” experience — though I regret that other aspects of your stay did not align with your expectations or past experiences at other Sofitel destinations.
