Pros: * fantastic location to ski in and out. * very comfortable rooms and shared spaces. * having the ski butler and ski valet on site was very helpful. * great heated outdoor pools (try the lower one followed by the higher one, not the other way round!). * we made a lot of use of the sauna. * the breakfasts were very good given that it was a buffet. * the reception staff and staff serving at breakfast were always very helpful. The cleaning staff did a fantastic job. Cons: * check your bill. Ours wasn’t right, though this ultimately was quickly corrected. * they could do with an extra person preparing egg dishes at breakfast. The queue was often off putting. * our only real issue here, hence 4* instead of 5*, was the lack of organisation when seating guests for breakfast. Either their computerised system is too complicated or their staff are not sufficiently trained. For several days there were unnecessary queues when you could see with your own eyes that there were enough available tables that had been prepared. The problem with this system probably caused the issue with our final bill (see above). Conclusion: This is a tremendous hotel and was a different level to ski resort accommodation that we have experienced in Europe. Some attention to the organisation around breakfast would make it exceptional. We would definitely go again.

Well located but rooms were quite tired and missing amenities

The Fairmont Tremblant is the only full-service hotel in Tremblant. I have stayed there about 15 times in the last 6 years. I hope to continue to visit. But the main issue is the food. The main restaurant has a strange and limited menu. The breakfast is tired. After two breakfasts that’s it. It just gets monotonous given the lack of choice at the buffet. It’s unfair to compare this hotel with the Banff Springs or the Whistler Fairmont but the breakfast options and food in general is night and day better at those two hotels. The prices charged by those two hotels are sometimes lower than at Tremblant. Admittedly they are larger hotels so they can stock more food….

We found the accommodations comfortable and the staff friendly. The Le Labo bottles being refilled with generic product were a major detraction. It’s better to have regular house brand products than refill those. If a place cuts corners there, where else that the guest isn’t seeing. Also, cleaning could be a bit more thorough. I noticed a small piece of chipped glass on the floor from a previous guest, thankfully I found it and threw it away before it caused injury (traveling with our son who is 5). Overall would return, but expected more in certain areas like the room.

Despite the rain on a winter day, we managed to ski a full day the next day. Having the hotel right on the slops helped us make the most of our stay. The staff at the hotel was fantastic.
