I live every year, still Found that the blanket and quilt is too thin and heavy comparing to other hotels which are using light down quilt very comfotable . Also The toothpaste is difficult to use now Hope hotel can improve next time. Other than that the breakfast is very good

STAY AWAY WITH A TEN FEET POLE!!! I truly hope the following incident we had experienced would not happen to others so take this as a fair warning. My wife and I booked one night through Amex travel at the Swissotel Osaka for our anniversary back in September. After check in, we took a rest after a long flight from the States. However, we were unable to nap at all with the ear plugs on due to the unbearable noises derived from other rooms (We’re from NYC so our noise tolerance is considered high). We then called the concierge several times but “nothing” has been mitigated, the alternative they provided over the phone was to change room and “downgrade” us to a smaller room due to the overcapacity of that day. It was unacceptable as we already spent $380+ usd for the stay and yet were told to be downgraded as only the option. We were frustrated and left with no choice but to check out for a better place to rest. Upon checking out, we again explained the unpleasant disturbances and reasons for leaving. The concierge checked the system and told us there was a higher rate room available if we would like to consider for an additional cost. We turned down the offer because we felt being scammed and insulted knowing they did actually have other room available at the time but was not disclosed initially and we had to pay extra out of pocket. This quite unprofessional for a 5-star hotel and inappropriate to treat the customers like money grab especially after the unpleasant incident we have gone through. After the trip, I have tried my best to communicate with the Hotel Manager Yumiko back and forth for several months via emails hoping they could offer a refund but it turned into a nightmare. The initial response from the hotel stated “booking was made through a third party, we are unable to process any discounts or refunds.” As such, I contacted my travel agent numerous times to assist communicating with them in hope of the refund but the hotel played hard ball and did not want to negotiate/compromise any part of it even though everything was done as instructed by the hotel, they will just brush it off because they DO NOT care about the customers… Booking at this hotel was the worst decision we have ever made with regrets. Be aware who you are dealing with, because once you check in, there is no way out. There are other better hotels than this one.

Upon receiving your complaint at around 5PM, we immediately sent our team to investigate the noise disturbance. However, they did not find any irregularities. When you decided to check out at 6 PM and make arrangements with another hotel, we offered alternative solutions, but they were not acceptable to your expectation. As you had already made alternative arrangements and your booking in the other hotel was non-refundable, we were unable to offer further assistance at that time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We hope that you will consider staying with us again in the future, and we will strive to provide a more peaceful and enjoyable experience. We love the location of Swissotel Nankai. It's very easy to go to and from the airport and to the different parts of the city. Swissotel also has some lovely restaurants and bars and an amazing breakfast spread. The lobby has an old but classic luxurious feeling and ample space to just hang out and chill. Pajamas are also provided, which is a nice touch. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

I enjoyed the Osaka stay so much owing to this cozy, prestigious hotel. It was very convenient to reach from the airport and close to the typical Osaka downtown shopping center. This fantastic hotel view and hotel services, including the gym, satisfied me. On the other hand, it is hard to find a spot during breakfast hour if you visit the Top-floor breakfast room during rush hour and must wait a while. It might be a very irritating experience for guests. Also, the shower door was not perfect for preventing flooding water. I strongly hope to improve such a poor point in the future service quality development.

With regards to breakfast I agree that at peak times from time to time guests to experience some waiting time. While I know my team work as quickly as possible to free up tables it does depend on table availability. It was a great stay the only problem is I do not know how to use the USB BLUTOOTH phone charging machine red light kept blinking and house cleaning staffs do not know if it is normal or not
