We stay at this hotel every time we visit Vilnius, at least once a year. We have been doing this for probably five or six years, and we will continue to do so because it offers the best balance of value and quality. The hotel is clean, the staff are friendly, and the location is perfect. This particular stay, however, was slightly affected by an unidentified noise in the room. We could not pinpoint it exactly, but it sounded either like the window was not sealing properly or possibly like an HVAC unit outside. It was not extremely annoying, but I am mentioning it because it was noticeable and did affect our sleep. That said, we treated it as a one-off issue and did not make a big deal out of it. As mentioned, everything else was top notch, and we will happily stay here again.

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Unauthorized Charge and Lack of Response Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally complain about an unauthorized charge and the lack of adequate response regarding my stay at Novotel Vilnius. On 30 May, I made my reservation and paid the full amount immediately at the time of booking. Upon arrival at the hotel, the reception staff informed me that no payment had been received. I offered to provide the invoice and proof of payment, but I was told that this was not necessary. On the following Monday, I received an email stating that the reservation amount was still outstanding and asking for permission to charge my credit card. I explicitly declined this request, as I had already paid the reservation in full. Despite my refusal, the amount was subsequently charged to my credit card without my authorization. Since then, I have provided copies of the invoices, proof of payment, and bank statements clearly demonstrating that the reservation had already been paid before my stay. Unfortunately, I have received no meaningful response to the evidence submitted, nor has this matter been resolved. I find it unacceptable that my credit card was charged without authorization despite my explicit refusal and despite the fact that payment had already been made. I kindly request that this matter be investigated urgently and that the duplicate charge be refunded immediately. I would also appreciate a written explanation as to how this unauthorized charge occurred and why my supporting documentation has not been properly addressed. I expect a response within 14 days of receipt of this email. If the matter is not resolved promptly, I will consider pursuing the issue through my credit card provider and any other appropriate consumer protection channels. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution of this matter. Yours faithfully,
