This expérience Washington ont as good as in the past. We arrived very late (about 1 AM) because of a 16 km queue at St Gotthard and I couldn’t wait to go to sleep, but the receptionist asked me to pay for the room right away, I had to ask if it could wait until check-out. Also, as breakfast is served until 10:00 AM, the staff started taking all the food away at 10:00 sharp without asking the people who were still sitting at the tables if they still wanted anything.

Friendly service, fully exposed bathroom a serious design fault. (What's the idea?) Otherwise very comfortable. Evening meal : good spaghetti carbonara but mediocre sole and hamburger. Convenient underground parking. Easily accessible from the motorway and lakeside and city centre within walking distance. Good breakfast buffet.

Excellent hotel in Paradiso, a small municipality in the district of Lugano. The Hotel is very clean, well appointed, with a boujee outside area, & pool. Rooms are lovely and spacious, with a desk & sofa, and a super large bed; unfortunately I did not find the bed that comfortable, and although I did not have the air con on, & the window open, I did find the room fairly warm. The bathroom is great, & the shower is fabulous with strong powerful shower, & amazing Rituals toiletries, just a shame they were not in travel size to take away. Breakfast is good, offering cooked & continental, also with a selection of local cheeses, pastries & Honey & Jams. Staff are welcoming, friendly & helpful. The local area offers a good choice of affordable & good places to eat & drink, & the Lake views are incredible. Whilst there is a bus into Lugano, which only takes about 5mins, I would certainly recommend the tree lined walk, along the Lake, roughly 20mins into Lugano, although longer with all the Photograph stops you will do! The walk is exceptional with far reaching views into the Mountains & across the lake to the residential areas.
