Mantra on View is in a good location, walking distance to where we needed to be. The room, in particular the bathroom, was below par of other Mantras & hotels I have stayed in. Check in was relatively smooth. As for the room ... The toilet button was 'loose' to say the least, needing to press & hold to get it to flush. The shower pressure was great, however, it shot straight out the door onto the floor and if door wasn't closed, onto the carpet. The bath and surroundings were mouldy, cracked tiles, and multiple 'repairs' in the tub. The hand basin tap squirted to the left, all over towels & tissue box. Broken or missing light fittings on the bedside, with no ceiling light. The bed was comfy, we had no problems with noise. Staff at the breakfast were very attentive. We were going to see reception before leaving about the issues in the room, however, they had a very long queue waiting. We used the express checkout, which was great for us.

Platinum Accor Member. Regular customer because of location to work. Booked two nights and busy nights with work in a high pressure environment. Nil cleaning or turning over the room. Managed to give a bottle of wine but no cleaning or towels ... go figure. They moved me into a new room ... which on the surface seemed nice until it was right next to the Cali Club loud music party ... complete and utter disaster not to mention the bugs in the new room ... complaint lodged with Accor (I'm platinum) but irrespective this shouldn't have happened to anyone. If it's not one thing with this property it's another ... and they are all on the record.

I had a pleasant stay at Mantra on View while attending a conference there. Breakfast at NOSH was great with many hot & cold options. The hotel is well-positioned near the beach and shops, in the centre of Surfers. One small drawback was some fittings in my room were are little “tired” and are due for replacement. Staff were super-friendly and efficient.

Good location and wait an eternity to get your bond back.

The hotel has a good location. The check-in supposed to be easy as a member. But I did not receive my $200 bond back since I left the hotel 1 week ago. The room did not have any damage or issue. We took care of the building.

Revolting!

Revolting!!! Old, dirty, loud and felt unsafe and uncomfortable staying there!! Was there for a conference and the bed was old and broken and made a noise every time I rolled over. Provided with a top sheet and old dirty blanket. Mould in the shower also! Now paranoid of bed bugs in my luggage!
