Location on the water is nice however if you're on the city side be prepared for lots of road noise. The rooms definitely need refurbishment, they're looking dated and tired. No mugs are supplied in the rooms, only teeny tiny tea cups, we ended up using tall glasses like latte glasses for decent sized coffees. Parking is an extra cost on top of the room rate. It's explained away by saying it's a council carpark and given at a reduced rate. Not my problem and for the room prices, the establishment should be footing that cost. Wanted to give a more positive review however having stayed at plenty of places around this price point, there are significantly better options to choose from in Launceston. Such a shame as being right on the water it has lots of potential and with a few tweaks, it could be fantastic.

Check in process /experience was good. Staff was nice and knowledgeable. Carparking was ok. Not had issues finding a spot eventhough it was a shared carpark for adjacent restaurants essentially. Room was decent. Lounge was spacious. Good view of the more expensive Peppers Silo from our window (if you discounted the wire and flyscreen ). Dining table and chairs, we had to push closer to a corner to allow better flow of foot traffic at foot of bed. Kettle was horrendous - luckily we brought our own USB heating Thermos... For our 3 nights, we chose not to have room serviced - both for added privacy and doing our part for the environment. The couple of times we saw housekeeping staff, they have been more friendly than front staff as we walked past the desk a few times each day. (That's if it was even staffed.)
