Good Ibis experience. Platinum Accor benefits were awarded. We got 4 welcome drinks, for each day of the stay and also a room upgrade in Ibis. Room upgrade was good as the bed was significantly larger than normal room. Breakfast was run well with the basic options, but in general better than most Ibis hotels we stayed in. But be aware this hotel is everything but silent and peaceful. If this is something you desire you should look elsewhere and probably pay the price for it. We were on the top floor and had a premium room which was bearable, but I doubt the lower floors would be better. I guess would be a good option if you’re looking for a party as there are a lot of entertainment or possibly adult entertainment options around. Wouldn’t recommend for families with smaller kids.

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay in Ibis Osaka Umeda. With direct access to the Whity Umeda, the. underground network connecting to the various train lines, subway lines and the Osaka-Umeda Station. The shotengai (shopping arcade) just around the hotel has already many of the japanese restaurants that you must try. Their breakfast was also exceptional, given that this is a budget hotel. Having Japanese options on top of the regular fare is always enjoyable.

The hotel is very well connected to the train stations. It is walkable via underground from the Subway station to the East Mall which has an escalator up to the hotel. I noticed that the main door was locked after 11.30pm and the hotel was to be accessed using the room cards. I realized the need for this because Umeda doesn't seem very safe unfortunately. There are many drinking joints nearby and the streets would have a lot of drunks in the evening. Do be careful when coming back late! The rooms were dark & small but bearable. But there were hardly any Japanese comforts I was used to. The room was dusty (wiped the wardrobe hanger rod and the bed's headboard, BLACK). Housekeeping - well they will make the bed and throw your trash. Even if they replenish things, it's basically just throwing it into the space that the items were meant to be. There was no effort to make the room neat. Couldn't use member's discount for breakfast because it's golden week. Osaka doesn't feel like typical Japan, nor does Ibis Umeda. I don't think I would stay here again.

Hotel Ibis Osaka Umeda 15min walk underground to the hotel. Follow the direction towards Hanshin Line until you reach Whity Mall, then follow the direction of East Mall. Keep left and walk straight until you see an Ibis poster on the wall. There are a couple of steps up to a door and there you'll find an elevator which goes up to the hotel lobby. subway exit connection right next to main entrance. Near a good jiggly pancake breakfast restaurant.
