This is an excellent hotel with loads to do for keeping the kids entertained. It was my birthday when there and they went to the effort of leaving a cake, a voucher for a bottle of wine and bed nicely decorated which was a really good effort. We were put in the Marine part of the hotel in a superior room with a nice view overlooking the swimming pool, which was lovely. There’s a mini bar in the room which is re-stocked every day. The only thing we observed was we didn’t think room wasn’t being cleaned to a decent standard (it wasn’t bad enough to make a complaint). The beds were made nicely, but the floor and surfaces didn’t look to be getting swept or cleaned regularly. Some days we had 4 towels the next day only 2. The complimentary bottle of wine we ordered with voucher lay empty in the room for 4 days until we ordered a second bottle. We were also short of toilet paper twice, but after phoning reception, there was some brought up straight away The swimming pools were great where we spent most of the time through the day. We never found them to be too busy and we never really had an issue finding 3x sunbeds together there was always towels available to collect. The Dj set in the afternoon at the main pool was a good atmosphere. The beach was convenient being right at the hotel. We spent some time snorkelling where there was plenty of fish to be seen. We also had hours of fun with the kids swimming and jumping off the pier. The water temperature was perfect this time of the year. Both the on-site water parks were a highlight for the kids with plenty variations of slides to keep them amused. Tjey are also excellent for adults as well. The life guards were also fantastic and funny. The main restaurant, which, as expected with such a large hotel, was busy and at times a bit chaotic and stressful to find a table and picking food. We were a bit worried after some of the reviews about the food choices, but we had no issues and found something we all enjoyed every meal. The only meals I found to be a bit repetitive were breakfast as I like an omelette, but with only cheese, ham, tomato and a herb available, it got boring pretty quickly. Also, the Snack bar baked potatoes are really good, but again, alternating the choice fillings would be better. The croissant bar with plain, chocolate aolg with different sauces and icing sugar also the noodle bar with either vegatable or chicken with 3 different sauces was brilliant to order through the day and either eat there or at the sun loungers. We ate at the Mexican A la carte one evening which was really nice, so I would recommend trying. The bars are well stocked with a great selection of both Non and alcoholic drinks, Crisps and tub of nuts if wanted. The smoothie bar in the morning is nice and usually has 4 different ones to choose from. All the staff we came across were nice and friendly with not much wait time for drinks. The Rixy club facilities and staff at this hotel are amazing and the best I’ve come across before. We have a nearly 2 year old and an 8 year old who absolutely loved the Rixy area of hotel. There is so much to do between painting, woodwork, pottery, soft play, outdoor climbing, kids’ water park etc… that they were never bored. The kids both really enjoyed the kids disco and eating ice cream, sweets and popcorn in the evening. The staff especially Lavent, made the Rixy club fantastic for our kids they were all brilliant and spoke pretty good english. Another thing our older son done was football training in the morning followed by a match in the evening. After the match he was presented with a Rixos Sungate strip which he was delighted with. We had a couple of days at Land of the Legends using the provided bus service from the hotel. It was really good there and would highly recommend going. Next time we plan to stay back for the evening show and have look about the shops. I would stongly recommend using a transfer company called “Ella car transfer” if you plan to stay later. we used them for the airport transfer to hotel. Excellent service at a reasonable price. We also had a morning/ afternoon at Kemer for the weekly pop up markups which is on every Thursday. The Dolmus that you get from across the road from the hotel is mental and not an enjoyable experience. Everyone was crammed in like sardines and doesnt feel safe. The driver started to speed off as my partner was getting on holding a baby while the door was still open. We ended up taking a local taxi back, which was more expensive but a lot less stressful. My son managed to pick up several football kits all for around 400TL per kit. Partner enjoyed looking at the bags and what not. The actual centre of Kemer is lovely, but we just didn’t have enough time to explore. The evening entertainment was a bit repetitive. We stayed back after the kids' disco on the last night after announcement there was going to be a live performance to quickly realise it was the same show we saw the 1st week. When we moved on to the Alara area, it was also the same as we had already seen. Some more live acts/ performances, magic shows, etc... would be a bit better. The Marine bar was fantastic for a chilled out drink before heading to bed after a long day. The staff and drinks were great. So, after being home for a week and reflecting back on the holiday, would we return? 100% were hoping to come back next year 😁

Truly an all inclusive resort. There was no shortage of amazing food, entertainment and facilities. The customer service is excellent and I recommend going for a minimum of 4 to 5 days or more to fully enjoy all the amenities as we visited for only 3 days and it wasn't sufficient

Fantastic resort, tonnes to do, we were doing 13000 to 20,000 steps a day around it and didn’t manage to do it all, exceptionally clean. There are staff cleaning the resort all day, every day, really fantastic and clean resort. We had really lovely personal and funny staff, all our experience with each of the staff was very kind and helpful. They went out of their way to look after us. Room in main building:When we came we were put in a dark dim old fashioned room in the main building with no main light and no real sunlight, with a bright yellow bathroom, it was horrible, the hotel whatsapped me to ask how we were finding our stay and I said I was disappointed in the room as it wasn’t 5* at all, very dark and horrible yellow bathroom, hard mattress so they moved us to a lovely bright room with a lovely modern bathroom half way through our stay, it also didn’t have a main light, I’ve heard people ask to be upgraded when they arrive, so if you’re put in the main building you may wish to consider asking for an upgrade or pay to buy a nicer room at the point of booking if you don’t want to risk them being full up at the point of arrival. The only downside to this was the main building is in the perfect location to everything you want to access quickly and easily, when we got moved we were moved to block 4000 which is near the kids area and water park and it was probably a 7-10 min walk to the restaurant, main pool and beach. It was worth it for us but just be mindful of this. If you can put up with old fashioned dark room and prefer a central location stay in the main building. Pool and gym: Around the pool near the world class gym there are waiters on roller blades for drinks. The smoothie and ice cream bar is also near this pool. There is also a fruit stand there sometimes. Lovely beautiful pool with a fantastic mountain backdrop. Pool: The fantasy pool and bar are nice, attentive waiters, pretty setting. He brings you Doritos and nuts when you sit down. Pool; The pool behind the main building is really calm and relaxing as nothing going on nearby, with a waiter who comes from the other pool on roller blades for your drinks. Noodles and croissant: The noodles and croissant pop up snack shops open at 3pm to the left of teppanyaki if you’ve got your back to the beach. These are great. (The sauces for the noodles are fridge cold so be warned they made my noodles cold, wouldn’t recommend the sauces too cold) the croissants however are freshly baked warm lovely soft croissants absolutely 10000% recommend these. Bottled water available:There is bottled water all over the resort everywhere, they keep it in big metal bowls on top of the bars, or in fridges around the resorts free for you to take which is great so you don’t have to pay for it. Whenever we went on a day trip we went to the cafe inside the main reception and took bottles of water out of the fridge. Buffet restaurant: Turquoise is the main restaurant that’s included in your stay, as a picky eater sometimes all inclusive buffets are difficult for me but they had 4 choices of different pastas each night and cheese you can put on top so I was happy. Two choices of soup and different bread each night. They have fries every single night too. They of course do lots of other foods as well. The pide with cheese is like naan with cheese that was nice. Big selection of nice desserts too. Would recommend you go at the least busy periods for the buffet as it can be busy, hard to find a seat and loud, we went at the less busy times after the first night and didn’t have an issue the rest of the time. Snack bar for lunch: The alara snack bar is really good, would recommend the chicken nuggets, onion rings, they have a jacket potato bar there too with toppings, burgers, enchiladas. Al a carte restaurant: We ate in the cactus restaurant one night booked the day before with guest services, we had no issues booking it and it was absolutely fantastic. The best Mexican ever, it’s utterly beautiful too. Would recommend the cheese quesadilla, potato skins, chicken especial burrito and the fried ice cream 🤤 WiFi: They have great WiFi all over the resort and at land of legends but if you are leaving the resort I would recommend getting an eSIM for your safety as you can’t use your English data package without paying a lot for it, you don’t want to be unreachable or unable to use google maps or anything for example if you plan to go to Kemer or Antalya for a day trip, get an e sim. We used breeze eSIM and it was really reasonably priced and very easy to set up (make sure you’re already connected to WiFi to set it up and buy it) Land of legends is a great day out, you won’t be able to do it all in one day, there is a separate water park, theme park and shopping Center, each are large, you may want to dedicate an entire day to each if that’s your thing. Pick up in the morning is 9:15, pick up to come home is 4:45pm, really disappointing a bus doesn’t run at night for the night show so we never got to see it! But we did have good fun during the day anyway. Would recommend the customise your own ice cream at land of legends Magnum shop. Some of the staff on reception don’t speak English, but if you ask if they speak English before you talk to them they will direct you to those who do speak English and we didn’t have an issue. Or some staff used translation apps on their phone, you can get them as an app on your phone too to use, they are very commonly used around turkey with visitors as English isn’t well known. Some of the waiters don’t speak perfect English so we had a few funny mistakes, ordered a tequila sunrise cocktail and received one random cocktail and a tequila sunrise haha, staff really funny and friendly though. There are life guards at the pool and beach who take care of you. We were jumping off the pier into the sea (sea was hot, warmer than the pools!!!) and the lifeguard was chatty. We went scuba diving with Lev for €50 each, he took really good care of us especially as I was pretty nervous but he was great. We had a fantastic time, saw lots of fish and got to feed them and brought them home a shell from the bottom of the sea. There is a small selection of designer shops at the resort, too expensive for most people though, and a market shop as well although this is expensive so bring your inflatables, goggles and balls from home instead of buying them. You are allowed inflatables in the pools no problem. In the Rixy kids area there are little stalls, not just for kids, you can get popcorn, candy floss, ice cream cones and sweets, there are wooden games to play we had great fun doing. There are hammocks to lay in. There is a patisserie there top open from 3pm till 6pm too, the chocolate fondant at the patisserie is lovely and warm too. There is road train like a shuttle bus that runs one way around the resort at certain times of day, I think 10am till 12 and 2 till 4 and 6-11 something like that. It’s great to get on to get around the resort and you just press the bell and he’ll stop whenever you need. The air con in all the rooms is great and works just as long as the balcony door is shut. You get two key cards. The aqua park is a bit rubbish if I’m honest. We went down some of the flumes and they were so slow we got stuck and had to wiggle or crawl down to the bottom. The only one that’s good is the one you get in a dingy and go down one side and up the other, land of legends is better for water park. If you’re wanting to come only because of the onsite waterpark I just wouldn’t bother. There are activities on every day you can do for free, we did archery and air rifle shooting, there is also boules, volleyball, paddle boarding. We paid €10 each to do tenpin bowling in a VERY outdated bowling alley. Photos attached so you can see for yourselves. There are photographers around the resort all day every day offering to take family or couple photos for a fee too.

Feeling Scammed by Rixos

We arrived at 3 AM and couldn’t check in early, which we understood. However, the waiting area near the sports bar was unbearably hot and stuffy. It was not a comfortable place to wait for hours. The food at the Turquoise restaurant was a major letdown. The selection for breakfast, lunch, and dinner was very poor. Only common fruits were available, with no exotic options like pineapple, mango, or figs. There was a very limited choice of meat, fish, and seafood. Long queues for items like meat, fish, omelets, fried eggs, and waffles made meal times stressful. While the traditional Turkish desserts were delicious, the rest of the dessert options were tasteless and lacked variety. Additionally, the staff was clearly overwhelmed during meals. Finding a clean table with cutlery and napkins was a challenge, and we often had to get our own drinks as service was slow. The Fantasy pool was advertised as a quiet, relaxing area, but it was anything but that. Loud children and adults disrupted the atmosphere, with some even bomb jumping into the pool, despite it being against the rules. On one occasion, guests played loud music from a Bluetooth speaker, and no staff intervened to enforce any rules. The common areas of the hotel were extremely hot and uncomfortable. The only place where we could escape the heat was our room. Unfortunately, the experience we had at Rixos Sungate was much worse than what was promised. The poor food options, lack of staff during meal times, and lack of enforcement of pool rules significantly detracted from our stay. This hotel does not meet the standards of a five-star establishment, and we cannot recommend it to anyone.
