My experience at Rixos Premium Alamein was mixed and, unfortunately, did not meet the standards I normally associate with the Rixos brand. Upon arrival, the initial welcome was pleasant, and I appreciated the room upgrade provided in recognition of my membership status. However, shortly after entering the room, a serious issue became apparent. A loose external fixture near the window (possibly a compass or exterior component) was detached and repeatedly hitting the window due to wind, producing continuous and disturbing noise. This significantly affected comfort and rest. The most disappointing aspect of the stay, however, was the service — particularly at the breakfast restaurant. The restaurant was far from busy, with only a limited number of guests present. While other tables were being served promptly and attentively, our table was completely overlooked. For over 30 minutes, we were not offered even basic service — no water, no coffee, no acknowledgment. We had to find seating ourselves without any assistance from staff. I raised this issue directly with the restaurant manager, as the situation felt not only unprofessional but also discriminatory. His response was limited to a brief apology and a short intervention, after which water was brought. No meaningful follow-up or sense of accountability was shown, and the interaction felt purely procedural rather than sincere. Later, we dined at Salt Restaurant, where we ordered Italian dishes. Unfortunately, the quality was below expectations. The pizza was excessively oily and greasy, and overall the food did not reflect the level expected from a premium resort. Throughout the stay, communication with staff was challenging due to limited English proficiency, which further affected the overall experience and sense of being welcomed. We later spoke with the duty manager, who apologized and offered complimentary drinks as a gesture. At that point, however, we declined, as the issue was not about compensation but about service standards and guest treatment. Regrettably, we did not feel genuinely welcomed during our stay, and the experience did not align with what one would expect from a resort of this category. I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback seriously and uses it to improve consistency, staff training, and guest care Additionally, despite more than a week having passed since checkout, my stay has not yet been credited to my account. Neither the status night nor the loyalty points have been posted.
