We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay and appreciated the comfort and cleanliness of your room, as well as the quality of our food. It is also wonderful to know that, overall, you had a positive experience with us. At the same time, we sincerely apologize that our check-in procedure caused frustration and left you with an unexpected impression at the beginning of your stay. We understand that being asked to provide a credit card guarantee for the group was surprising, particularly given your previous experience with tour groups. Please allow us to clarify that, as part of our standard check-in procedure, we kindly ask guests to provide either a credit card or a cash deposit of €50 only as a guarantee for any incidental charges that may remain unpaid, such as minibar purchases or other services charged to the room. When a credit card is provided, no deposit is charged or pre-authorized. Instead, the card is securely linked to the reservation through a tokenized process, meaning the card details are not visible or stored by our team. For group arrivals, we often ask the tour leader to provide this guarantee on behalf of the group to ensure a smoother and faster check-in process for everyone. However, this is not a requirement, and each guest is welcome to provide their own guarantee separately should they prefer. We regret that this option was not communicated more clearly during your arrival. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
