The good point is that we enjoyed eating at Saffron, the hotel's affiliated restaurant. The staff was very attentive, helpful, and communicative. Some dishes were too salty initially on the first day, but they clearly improved a lot the next day. Also, the food selections were satisfying for both breakfast and dinner. The negative part, however, really impacted our overall experience. First of all, the check-in process was not smooth. We arrived at the hotel after 2 pm, and the front desk staff greeted us and helped us check in. Ten minutes had passed, but we were still waiting at the front desk; meanwhile, the staff behind the counter seemed to be working on something. Having realized that our room might not be available, we offered a solution: we didn’t mind a room different from the original. Luckily, the front desk staff agreed to do so, and we could finally get some rest instead of standing in the lobby. Things weren’t so bad until bedtime. The AC in our room was so loud that we couldn’t fall asleep at all. We tried to adjust it on the control panel, but it didn’t work. So we had to call the front desk for help at midnight. The night shift staff member responded quickly and agreed to switch us to a new room, which we appreciate. The gentleman also helped us with our luggage and took it to the new room. The new room, although it also had a loud AC, was more tolerable than the previous one. But the next morning, we found out that the WiFi in our new room was unstable, so we had to switch to our phone data, which was weak inside the building. The last thing we want to note is the lack of housekeeping. The cleaning crew showed up at our door around 2, but we kindly asked them to come back in 40 minutes because we were about to leave for our tour. But after we returned from the tour, we found that our room had not been cleaned at all. Too tired to call the cleaning crew, we decided to knock it off and call it a day.

Hotel is beautiful and well decorated. Restaurant also serves very good quality food. However, they had issues with my international credit card which I didn’t have any problems anywhere else. They only accepted (cash) settlement at the reception when card didn’t work so it was quite stressful. Room was also smelly when I checked in, think it was from the AC. Windows were also blocked so no views at all. For the rate I paid during peak season just don’t think it’s worth the price.
