I booked the classic twin bed room type with glass door. When I checked in, they gave us a room with wooden door right next to the lift on the reception floor. I immediately asked for the room type that I actually paid for, they refused and said this was the last room they had. Then asked us to come to the front desk again next day morning if we don’t like the room. We waited until the front desk manager was on duty the next day morning, then they insisted that was the room we booked. We showed them the picture on the website and that the room they assigned to us was totally different. then he said actually only a few rooms that looked like that. After some discussions, the manager agreed to change our room to the one we actually paid for, with compensation. I felt disappointed at the stay and experience this time as this was not the first time I stayed at Accor hotels but it’s the first time the room layout, view and look and feel was completely different from their website. I felt deceived by their marketing. They put together different room types and asked for the same price. Will not stay at this hotel again.

While I appreciate that the team ultimately resolved the matter and offered compensation, I fully acknowledge that this does not offset the initial frustration and the impact on your overall stay. Regarding your comments on room representation, please allow me to clarify that certain room categories may have minor variations in layout or design; however, this should never result in a materially different experience from what is communicated during the booking process. Your feedback highlights a gap in how expectations are being set, and we are currently reviewing both our internal allocation procedures and the clarity of our room descriptions across distribution channels. We also take seriously your remarks about perceived inconsistency in pricing and presentation. Ensuring alignment between what is marketed and what is delivered is a fundamental principle, and your experience indicates that we must reinforce this discipline. We regret that this stay has impacted your confidence in both our property and the wider Accor network. A clear step-up from the Moevenpick Samarkand, we liked the athmosphere at the hotel, the very good food in the restaurant (also the breakfast is really good with the meat options, cookies, apple pie, etc. Many items that you don’t often see at hotel breakfasts. Also the spa feels really good. Sauna is nice and hot. The gym is a bit meagre. Especially a cross trainer is missing. Also great room cleaning, reception, restaurant and spa staff. Thank you.

Clean, new, smells good. Only note is the small number of electricity plugs in the room, also the lack of a proper mirror in the room

The hotel is beautiful, only a short walk from the old town and all the staff were extremely helpful.. The restaurant was excellent both in terms of the food and the service.
