Noisy room, avoid 4th floor

Le 1932 is a charming art-deco hotel in a perfect location right between Juan Les Pins, Cap d’Antibes and the old town of Antibes. The rooftop terrace was fantastic with a restaurant, bar and a sun- and poolarea, all with amazing views over the ocean and surroundings. The problem we had was that our room on the fourth floor was very noisy late at night because of the rooftop restaurant above. It sounded like someone was moving furnitures and rolling trollies above our heads and this went on for hours, on Saturday night even after midnight. We also had a strange smell in the room from old plumbings. The hotel was fully booked so we couldn’t change rooms. We never received any compensation, just a ”I’m sorry, there was a event on Saturday night”. That’s not an excuse, TBH. I would still recommend the hotel because of it’s location and terrace but avoid the rooms on the fourth floor.

I am giving this hotel a one-star rating just because of the male staff. The men working here, particularly the concierge Robin, the night desk clerk, and the wonderful waiter Kioche, are exceptionally kind and helpful. However, the women on the staff are, unfortunately, quite unfriendly and unhelpful especially Camile at the front desk. She often create difficulties instead of assisting guests. You cannot change your room if you dislike it, nor can you extend your check-out time; they always say no especially Camile. It’s unfortunate that the helpful men are not at the check-in desks. Additionally, the men’s restroom was out of order for five days without being fixed. As for the spa, when we arrived, we inquired about the sauna, and a Camile at the front desk informed us that it was fully booked. However, each time we visited the spa, it was empty. She simply said no to every request we made.ir was horrible. The food was also disappointing. The rooms are functional, but the staff seems unwilling to accommodate guests’ choices, often responding negatively. I find it disheartening that the female staff members are the least friendly, especially considering that I am a woman myself. Dont go there or change Camile or bring her for hospitality education before giving her teh job to look after guests .

Caraful before booking here the SPA suite, might get some bacteria or virus

Checked in at 15.30, the private pool in the suite was totally infected by algae and completely unclean! It was the worse experience in a 4-star hotel, especially because it was my baby girl birthday, especially because I’m Platinum member, especially because it was my 5th time in the hotel (a frequent guest). Send an email to the Director, she just refunded our booking, and we checked out, no apologize, no extra points…. In the middle of or Hday, in the middle of the birthday, had to book a last-minute hotel in Cannes (spending more), loosing our promotion Reward points x 3 and the sale tariff with which we booked this horrible hotel. The most painful thing is no word, no apologize, no reply to my email…. Unfortunatly my fith stay was....run away as fast as you can

Beautiful Art Déco Hotel with amazing Rooftop Terrace

We were staying in another MGallery Property in Athens last year that was an exceptional experience, so we tried their sister hotel in Juan Les Pins/Antibes. The hotel is located in a beautiful spot overlooking the bay and very close to the beach (about 200m). The view from the stylish and very elegant rooftop terrace is breathtaking really. We were really lucky to have a room with an amazing view (Junior Suite room 407) and a beautiful and spacious bathroom. Waking up seeing the Mediterranean from the bed was just so relaxing! Breakfast is served in an Art Deco styled restaurant. The choice is large and the quality of the food is outstanding. Also, you can sit outside the restaurant and have a quiet lunch in the sun. Service is really nice. We had a little issue with the electricity of one of our rooms on a Sunday that couldn't be resolved as no technician was available. We were immediately moved to another, nicer room, so the issue was resolved perfectly thanks to the department head of housekeeping (Caroline?) who was extremely nice and constructive. Overall, we liked the hotel so much that we extended our stay. We will come back.
