ibis Styles Tokyo Ginza

The perfect budget hotel and close by from the major shopping area at Ginza. The hotel is located just behind the main strip of Ginza which houses all the shopping brands, the perfect place to stay on budget if you want to spend more on shopping. It is 500 meters walking distance from Ginza station and Don Quijote and Uniqlo flagship store is only a 5 min walk from there. The rooms are neat, clean and tidy, although small. Personally as I require a lot of space, I would opt for 1 person per room, but if you are okay with 2 people staying, that should be fine as well. The biggest asset to the hotel are its staff and by staff I specifically mean Niru, Maya, Daisuke & Thai Ting. They ensured to make my stay very comfortable and especially Niru who always had a smiling face whenever I used to pass by and treated all guests with respect and courteousness. If you see her at the front desk, go up to her for check in or any help, she will gladly help you out. I was staying at the hotel on two occasions for a couple of nights on each occasion and my only negative experience was during the second stay. The hotel provides bottled drinking water to guests on a per day basis, which ideally in any hotel in any part of the world (be it the lowest rated or highest rated is 2 bottles per day). During my first stay, I was given 2 bottles of water. However during my second stay on the first day of check in (was being checked in by the Front Office Manager - Christopher Pasquier), when asked for water, his staff first gave one bottle, when I asked for another - he mentioned we only give one per guest and when I mentioned that on my first stay I was given 2 per day, his reply was "YOU ARE LUCKY!" Personally I found this remark by Christopher to be extremely rude and should not be used when dealing with guests. Secondly Water is a basic necessity of life you are not doing a favour by serving water. Unlike many other hotels (Even Ibis Osaka) they have a water dispenser at the lobby where guests can refill their own bottles, this one does not have the option to do that. I am aware that you can fill water from the bathrooms in the rooms, but I am not very comfortable with that (thats just my personal preference). All in all, I would definately recommend the hotel and their staff for their hospitality. If I do go back, I shall definitely stay there. Arigato Gozaimasu 🙏🏻

The hotel is in great location, just steps away from Ginza station, the Tokyo central station is about 20min away walking or 10min by car. The reception team were all very friendly, polite, and very helpful with our check in and explaining everything. The room, is a bit small than the usual, but is very comfortable and all clean. The hotel breakfast is fine, you have small selection of bread and other options of food more oriental, Asia food, but is not much, and small option of western style food such egg and bacon, it’s okay for what you need to start your day, not that big buffet. The hotel is in a walkable distance from Ginza, Higashi-Ginza and Shimbashi stations, which connects with all the main lines and is very helpful if you coming from airport or other cities by train, also other public transports are nearby, to go around and explore the city tourist attractions is easy and convenient. Overall I would stay and recommend staying at the hotel.

We stayed here for 2 nights! Check-in was fast. There's a free coffee if your an Accor member. The rooms were small but that's expected for a hotel in Tokyo. The room provide all the basic amenities! The location of the hotel was great! Nearby the Ginza street, Ginza station and Shimbashi station. The Imperial Palace gardens is around 30 minutes walk so if you want to run you can go there. There's a nearby Family Mart, 7-11 and Don Quijote. Overall our stay was great!

Please be mindful that there are two hotels Ibis styles Ginza and the other called Ginza East. This hotel is conveniently located just behind the main luxury shopping street in Tokyo. What a fun neighborhood to stay in! The reception was very nice and the place was very clean. I would stay there again.

This hotel is well located in a quiet area. The staff are polite and helpful when you need it. Like most of Japan rooms are small but clean and the size here is OK (bigger than a lot in this price range). Water is hot and rooms have the usual inclusions, including a hair straightener for the girls. The beds like most of Asia are hard so a sore back is expected if you're used to a medium or soft bed. The one hate I have is that there is a night (bright) light that comes on when you go to the toilet, so you will probably wake your partner or be woken by it. The hotel and an Onsen on the 11th floor, but if you use it expect people to come in and just have a look. I found a bit creepy, considering the bath area is a no cloths area. There is also free icecream and a microwave on the 11th floor along with 2 washing machines (Y330) and 2 dryers (Y100 = 30mins), hot and cold water (with cups) and a drinks machine. 11th floor was a big plus. Accor members can get free soft drink and coffee in the restaurant in the evening till 10pm. My room 407 had a aircon issue. The aircon would change itself from hot to cold during the night, made it uncomfortable and I heard another traveler being told that the hotel was full, so I didn't ask for another room. The hotel is about a 10min walk to most train stations and the are a few places to eat in the area or just get a ready made meal from 7/11, Lawson's or FamilyMart and heat them up on the 11th floor. The meals from the convenience stores are cheap and very good. I wish all convenience stores did these meals. If this was helpful please give me a Thumbs up below.
