Very disappointing dogs before guests

We stayed for a couple of nights and despite saying i was allergic to dogs at check in we were put in a room which as the night went on i struggled to breath in and we had to move.A dog had definately been in the room. We were then moved to the third floor where we were told no dogs can stay and the family 2 doors down came out their door with a dog! We were then moved to the fourth floor. Reception had sofas with dogs lying on them and even at breakfast an owner had a dog in their arms next to me when getting their food sorry but this is not hygenic and totally unfair to anyone with an allergy we were told we would be refunded, we weren’t. Very disappointed dogs are definately the priority at this hotel we were told guests stay and to save paying extra say they have dogs which is totally unfair to people who stay in the room after them as i found out.

You should never have been allocated a room where a dog had previously stayed, and I completely understand how distressing it must have been to feel unwell as a result. The further inconvenience of being moved multiple times, coupled with conflicting information about which floors are dog‑free, is unacceptable. Your experience highlights a breakdown in our communication and allocation processes, and I apologise sincerely for the disruption this caused. I have raised this with the team to ensure our room‑assignment procedures are tightened and that allergy‑related requests are handled with the seriousness they deserve. I am also concerned by your comments regarding dogs on the lobby furniture and the situation you encountered at breakfast. While we are a dog‑friendly hotel, hygiene and guest comfort must always remain the priority. Your feedback has been shared with our management team so that our policies and enforcement can be reviewed urgently. Finally, I am sorry to hear that the refund you were advised of has not been received. Sea View Room

We stayed here for a couple days after Christmas. Check in was easy and room was sea view on 3rd floor. It was a lovely room with a great view but the windows were very dirty ( sea front location ) so not sure how often they are cleaned. Bathroom was nice but the shower flooded the whole room each time we used it. Bath robes in room ( one of which was dirty ) and one pair of slippers! The lifts were just outside our room and found the noise of those quite annoying .We ate dinner in the restaurant which was pleasant but no atmosphere as we were the only diners! Breakfast was not relaxing at all! It was just so so busy! The car park was very expensive so we parked elsewhere for a fraction of the price the hotel were charging. Overall nice stay but not sure we would return

Great overall hotel

Stayed here for 3 nights over New Years. Chose this hotel as we staying with our dogs. The hotel was very dog friendly and accommodating. Location wise it’s brilliant, literally a two minute walk from the beach. There is a car park on site but read the reviews beforehand and chose to park at the Victoria Car Park instead which is an open air car park about 2 minute walk away in the opposite direction from the beach. The Victoria car park does offer a 4 day parking pass, which was also cheaper from what the hotel was charging. There was a queue when we were checking in. They only seemed to have one person on reception even at busy times. We chose a Privilege Room, which was very clean. Had bathrobes, iron, hairdryer, tea/coffee, nespresso machine, biscuits, soft drinks in the fridge . I wouldn’t get too excited about soft drinks it was a can of Pepsi, Diet Pepsi and orange juice. They weren’t replaced during the stay. Everything in the room worked. Bed was comfy. Massive TV. No complaints with the room. The hotel offered an extra 100 points each night if you chose not to have your room serviced, which we took advantage of. The only annoying thing was house keeping opened the room as I was sat on the toilet on the last day. Check out was 11am and they decided to come in at 10:40am. They did knock but felt a bit hurried!! We booked breakfast each morning. We were able to have the dogs with us and chose to sit in the lounge. The staff all worked really hard but definitely some issues. There were never enough cups and each morning I had to ask for one from the staff. The breakfast itself was simple. Would have been nice to have more pastries, yogurts, or smoothies, considering it was a 4* hotel. Check out was quick and easy. Overall I would stay here again. Don’t think I would bother having a privilege room.

While it’s great to know the team worked hard and that you were able to dine comfortably with your dogs, the issues you experienced with cup availability and the limited variety of items are not reflective of the standard we aim to deliver. Be prepared to be trapped out of your car

Very nice hotel , excellent staff, breakfast was good . My only complaint is the car park, it’s not fit for purpose, spaces far too small , if you park in between two spaces, you won’t be getting into your car, make sure you go in front first so you can climb through the boot. I’m not joking . I made the mistake of reversing in. I was trapped out of my own car.bur other than that all good.

Amazing we are here now arrived Christmas eve and now having Christmas dinner. A beautiful modern hotel staff excellent we are thoroughly enjoying the whole experience. Thank you so much the best Christmas for a long time without all the stress
