Disappointing coach holiday festive break

We were on a coach holiday 8th to 12th December. The rooms were very good and the majority of the staff friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was good except for cereals - cocoa pops or cornflakes. We were segregated from hotel restaurant and the food was, to say the least, very basic. Bought in steak pie, mash and peas, sausage, mash and peas as an example and our Christmas meal was not good. No cloths on tables or condiments. This is by far the most disappointing tour I’ve been on in over 30 years

Your comments regarding the breakfast cereal selection, the separation from the main restaurant, and the quality and presentation of the meals provided to your group are taken very seriously. The experience you describe — limited menu options, basic dishes, and a lack of table settings and condiments — falls short of the standards we aim to deliver, particularly during a festive break when guests rightly expect something more special. I fully appreciate how disappointing this must have been, especially given your many years of touring experience. I have shared your feedback with both our kitchen and restaurant management teams so we can review our group dining arrangements, menu planning and presentation to ensure improvements are made. Another good stay at Mecure, Paignton

We had another excellent four night stay in November at the Mecure, Paignton. Our sea facing room was perfect, very clean as was the shower room. Breakfast every morning was well presented and good quality. All the staff we met were kind, responsive, attentive and so made our stay enjoyable. Car parking at a daily fee is well worthwhile - underground and well lit. The whole place is welcoming and so we shall be making another booking. A good location on the sea front and well placed to visit Dartmouth and Brixham etc. Within walking distance of the station should you wish to take the train along the Devon coast.

After a shaky start to our break away.. Theatre cancelled..abusive vistor. Being foul to the staff. All I can say is the staff were brilliant.. So friendly..Nobody should have to put up with that sort of behaviour.. A mention about Charlotte..she was friendly..and hilarious..just what is needed. And a lovely lady ..sorry didn't get her name..(lived in Bodmin awhile ago..) Polite ..chatty .. Both an asset to the hotels.

Weekend away with Parent.

Clean, tidy hotel, friendly staff. As we were early and couldn't check in, we got a drink at the Bar, 2 coffee's and a pint, this took nearly 10 minutes to be brought over to us (sat opposite the bar) at a very quiet period, unsure staff really know what their doing. I also went to the bar on the evening but the staff member was too busy on her phone to serve, the other staff member looked at her as though this happens frequently. Rooms clean and tidy, bed comfortable. As for sleep and being on the 3 floor sea view (privilege room), this was interrupted by the loud speakers outside playing music continuously and it was gone 5:30 in the morning before I fell asleep. I spoke to the receptionist who left a note to the night staff to turn off, although the following night it was quiet, it did get louder as the night went on - unsure as to why there needs to be music playing outside 24/7 ?? Surely from 12 it can be turned off, (especially seeing it's out of season) till the morning at a reasonable time. For these reasons I don't think I'd return to this hotel.

Sims who works behind the bar is very friendly and welcoming would definitely recommend this hotel the customer serive is brilliant
