Great location and value for money. Unfortunately we ended up with a room that had a dirty bathroom, bugs in the bathroom and missing doors on the wardrobe. We stayed for 4 night and each day we got new towels and for two days they made our beds. Unfortunately they did not take away the rubbish or clean dishes or replace with new.

Good location rooms ok often no house keeping biggest issue was the 99.00 dollar taxi fair should be around 50 to 60 I feel my recommendation to anyone budget conscious be to use train but Sydney has a lot to see but be prepared for cashless transactions.

SCAM - They charge your card without your consent

I made a reservation and paid in full via Qunar.com. When I checked in, I was asked to beep my credit card onto the eftpos machine for additional charges. Unfortunately, on the day of my checkout 25/05/2024, I had this fee of 311.24 being deducted by Ibis Sydney Central. I had run downstairs to the reception, and their staff told me that because its pending, they can’t provide any action. I also confirmed that there wasn’t additional charges to pay for. I had to check out on that day because my flight was on the day to return to Brisbane. During the following week (27/05 – 2/6), I had made 3 calls to ibis sdyney and request a follow up, initially the staff said they couldn’t see any fees being deducted. I had called them again today on the 4th of June, and the staff answered said that one of their colleagues is dealing with it and will let the finance department know. But tonight!!! I was being deducted 311.24 again!!! OUT OF NO REASON, for the second deduction without even successfully refunding my first deduction. How can a hotel just deduct from you after a week of your visit and there was no email or such to inform me of what the cost was. I booked this hotel only because of its location and because it’s a branded hotel with so many branches. I have never come across a hotel that steals people’s monies, fraudulently uses someone’s credit card and with such a poor management.

This was our 8th hotel we stayed in on our Australia trip and this room was one of the better places we stayed in. Clean, comfortable beds and great shower. Paid extra for the buffet breakfast and we enjoyed everything that was on offer. Definitely recommend and would stay here again.
