Perfection in the desert

The Banyan Tree in Al Ula is perfection in the Arabian desert. The location is stunning. The complex is in a remote valley surrounded by rock mountains, yet offering a luxurious and safe stay. The villas are very well designed and appointed, spaced out to provide privacy. Maintenance and cleanliness is assured, and done with discretion. The facilities, including the spa and the two restaurants are superb. To top all of this the service is of the highest quality. Needless to say we loved our stay, despite visiting at the height of the summer heat. Thank you to all at the Banyan Tree. Shokran.

Hello, My stay was ok. I arrived and the room was not ready. They said it would be in an hour or so. It was not ready until 3:40pm (I arrived at 1pm at the hotel). I finally got to the room, and it was not finished (no welcome fruits or deserts like the other rooms). Even after I expressed my dissatisfaction with my arrival, it was like no one cared. No GM or Property Manager to be seen anywhere around or to check in with a guest paying a fortune and receiving a poor welcome. To add insult to injury, I asked for a buggy to leave my room and was promised 10-15 minutes. It took 40 minutes for me to leave my villa. It was a disaster. You need to give each guest keys and his own buggy. Having 3 drivers for 50+ guests is not a luxury experience. Overall, the experience was poor, and it’s unfortunate because Al Ula is such a lovely place and Banyan Tree Resort is a beautiful property. But guest experience and quality is still missing from the company culture. Shame because it tarnished my impression of what could have been the most magical place and a most magical experience. Instead it was overshadowed by a sun optimal overpriced hotel experience.

Was amazing to stay there, but we had problems many times with golf cars, we waited a long time in the reception and the wellness area.
