Lacks attention to detail

Was this hotel has been recently renovated and is quite nice on the inside, completely lacks any attention to detail For example, I had threadbare towels, several times during my week long stay, which I find absolutely unacceptable even for a one star hotel let alone a supposedly luxury hotel. In general, the reception staff were completely uninterested in helping. Although some of them were quite good, exception, not the rule. The spa space is stunning and really worth a visit. This place is quite out of the way if you are a tourist. It’s about a 20 minute walk to the underground, although you can get a taxi to town, but these weren’t reliable. Overall, I would say that if the management just focused on attention to detail, this place could be quite exceptional, but at this point in time it just doesn’t make a minimum standard for the MGallery brand.

Wonderful hotel but this hotell in my opinion isn’t five star hotel. Breakfast was good,room clean and satisfactory but it is not room as rooms in five star hotels.Spa and pool is ok there are sauna,steam room and pool. My complaint is that there was swimming school at the pool and it was full of children who are not hotel quests. Except for the feeling that the hotel should have one less sta,overall it is a good hotel.

The hotel is great, with a lot of natural light. Staff super friendly and speak good English. The location isn’t great for central Sofia. There is 2 Metro stations within walking distance 15-20 minutes. Unfortunately there is nothing around the actual hotel in terms of restaurants or sights. Ok breakfast in the nice restaurant with hot and cold food. The hotel also have a garden so you can sit outside weather permitting. Tried the pool and it was nice, you need to wear a swim cap if you have long hair. They sell caps in the spa reception. Overall a pleasant stay but the location will stop me from coming back.

Such a comfortable bed but no privacy in the bathroom.

The hotel décor is beautiful. Located in a quiet area not too far from the city centre. We enjoyed our upgraded room, but we found the crescent shaped sofa uncomfortable and impractical for two people. There are no walls, only a sheer curtain between the bathroom, sitting area and bedroom, but the toilet is in a separate room with a door. Took us about 50 minutes to walk from the city centre to the hotel through the park. It is a steep walk but doable. The metro station is about 15 minutes walk from the hotel but there is a bus stop about 150m from the hotel that goes to the metro station. The staff spoke perfect English and were very helpful in providing a suggested walk around the city to see the main sites.

Until now I had had good experience with MGallery hotels in just about every way so this one, while ok in general, was not brilliant and I think not that welcoming. To get into the car park was not easy as, even though I had asked how to, and we pressed the button a few times, I had to go back to reception as the receptionist had not bothered to respond as she was dealing with a lady who was apparently very tired and really need to check in immediately. I pointed out I was tired too and keen to check in. Imagine sitting outside in the car at a barrier like an idiot - hardly great service. Getting out was similar although it was another member of staff who failed to notice the bell, but that brings us back to that previous receptionist who I think was impatiently rude to him, as he was being trained and clearly not brilliantly. The rooms are ok. The theme seems to be pre-cast concrete. The restaurant was good in terms of food but the staff were not attentive.
