Thoroughly enjoyable stay with a couple of very minor quibbles: - rooms are equipped with a ceiling bass loudspeaker controlled from a Bose device provided in the room. This is very good if your idea of fun is listening to loud music at midnight in your hotel room (considering doing that at home), but if your idea of fun is getting up early in order to hike in the mountains available right by or a short train ride from Cagliari, you may find that you are hearing the thump-thump-thump part of your neighbor's favorite music. Staying in a hotel is always a matter of luck with neighbors and the hotel is not to blame for that, BUT providing everyone with an in-room equivalent of a boombox is the hotel's faux pas. - lights went off a couple of time during my stay as I was in the room, leaving it in complete darkness. Not sure if that was a motion detection sensor to reduce energy waste or faulty wiring specifically in my room, but either way the light controls are a bit over-complicated for their own good. A simple main switch reliably activated by putting in the key card is fine, there is no need to seek improvement there. These were, again, extremely minor points, and everything else about this stay was perfect. I do not usually recommend places where I have stayed, and I was so positively surprised that I have already done so in the case of the Palazzo Tirso Hotel Cagliari.

Relaxing public areas, friendly helpful staff. Very clean overall. Lovely food in the rooftop restaurant. Spa was lovely although small. Well appointed rooms. Perfect location.

Everything was perfect! From the kindness and professionalism of the staff, to the great location walking distance from the live part of the city and more, continuing with the food, the comfortable room and the beautiful SPA! The hotel was clean, the amenities were nice. I did have one surprise since the service charge was not shown on the menu for room service, but the hotel corrected it. The staff at the breakfast was especially nice. I enjoyed the breakfast as well, but it’s too expensive for what’s offered. It would have been nice to have someone working at the door to help with bags, since there are stairs right at the front door. It’s very awkward to manage this alone.
