Lobby space was wonderful. Room was dirty with mildew, hair and stained sheets. Notified front desk at checkout. Valet team was exceptional and very kind at check-in and check-out.

The valet parking man was helpful and informative. The person at checkin seemed disengaged. He gave us keys to an occupied room and then seemed surprised when we asked him to bring nee keys up to us while we hauled our heavy luggage cart. The carpets in the hall had not been vacuumed. The self parking situation was a total disaster. Someone should have warned us they would not let us extend the parking length. When we went to view the art exhibit and participate in the heavily promoted nightcap, there was a private event. We were not welcome. Again, you should have told us. I prepaid through the amex promotion program. When i checked out the desk person could not print out the room charges. They would be sent by email he said. It never arrived. This stay was a total disappointment…with the exception of the bar and restaurant which seemed to be operated by a totally different entity/company. I routinely stay at Drury hotels. Every one my stays with them has been better than this one which was hyped as a top of the line experience. NOT!! On a positive note, I was grateful that housekeeping cleaned and restocked my room while I was out.

I hosted a group at 21c and they all enjoyed the stay. The food at Good Press was delicious and the rooms very tidy. The only complaint I have is the last evening of our stay, the fire alarm went off as a fluke, and none of the staff addressed the situation until one was yelled at by a patron. Even then, there was not a lot of recognition and there was a lot of confusion among the patrons of the hotel.

We had a poor booking experience, and every interaction with a staff member was undesirable. We won a night's stay at a silent auction for a non-profit gala and called multiple times to learn how to redeem it properly. On two occasions, we left voicemails and never heard back. On the last call, at my urging, the front desk person took my information so someone would call me back, but no one did. So, we confirmed the room type that matched the certificate paper and booked online, before which we told the front desk person about our plan and asked someone to reach out if that wouldn't work. No one did. Upon arrival, the front desk staff was less than understanding about the situation and did not offer a resolution or follow-up. After our stay, we were charged the full price, and when we called to ask about it, they said they would take care of it and remove the charge. It's been a week, and it's still not resolved. The art museum, room, and gym were all very nice. We were excited about the cafe for breakfast, but some of the food items weren't stocked in the morning, and the staff there seemed like we were a bother. As avid travelers, we were excited to try out a 21C hotel, only to be left disappointed. The hospitality was null.
