Our experience was adequate. The facilities were pretty clean and comfortable. It was nice to have the large gyms and a coffee shop. Dinner/room service ended earlier than I'm used to at hotels, and there were multiple times valet was not up front (and at first we weren't sure what to do). Our body wash was empty when we checked in.

I booked a Luxury King Suite for an early birthday staycation. Truly, I booked the suite just so I could enjoy that soaker tub. I called the front desk trying to get transferred to the reservation team, and the call disconnected three times when they tried to transfer me. Thankfully, though, the online booking process was straightforward. I had visited the hotel art gallery and restaurant before so I was aware of many of the property amenities already, but the front desk staff did not explain any of them to me nor ask if I had stayed with them previously. I don’t know if they have a gym on site, the hours of the restaurant or art gallery, or the room service hours—standard information you receive upon check in at other hotels. I wrote on my reservation that I needed a feather-free room due to allergies and reiterated to the front desk staff upon check in. A staff member claims they went upstairs to check the suite themselves for feathers, citing that another guest had previously had an allergic reaction to feathers in their room. The staff member returned ten minutes later with a snack in their hand, and gave me the keys. I went up to the room and found a feather throw pillow on the bed, and every decorative pillow on the suite’s couch was made of feathers—many of them shedding right into the velvet couch. I tossed the pillows and kept finding little feather quills all over the couch cushions. I returned to the front desk and told them there were feather pillows everywhere and they responded by telling me I could just put them outside my door for housekeeping to take. I reiterated the experience to the front desk staff upon check out and they were unresponsive. The suite was relatively clean aside from the shedding feather pillows; however, the vanity next to the bathtub did have a pair of fake eyelashes stuck to the side of it. There was along a long grey hair on top of the sheets. I’m from St. Louis so I expected good parking options. Decent street parking is available as long as you pay the meter, otherwise parking on site with them is $50/night—pretty egregious pricing for St. Louis, even downtown. The front desk was accommodating to a late check out, thankfully. I also learned there is no breakfast room service by calling down to the front desk in the morning.
