Room was very small and did not look updated. Food was terrible. No garage and cost for parking ridiculous.

I had booked today and showed up for my stay.And they gave me the key to someone else's room , and then said they were going give me access a free room the next day from the misunderstanding. Never did, charged my card $400 for my 1 night stay, refunded the amount taken before when they mixed up but ended up taking all my money, lying to me, and then making me feel foolish for spending any money there.

I entered a 7/10 instead of something higher because there was an overall lacking of this hotel that prevented it from being a true 4-star experience. I stayed for 5 nights. The hotel was beautiful and very interesting, but things like service and amenities were seriously lacking. *I'll start with my room: the tv was not connected to anything so I couldn't watch tv it just had an error message saying "reconnect to XYZ", I assume it was whatever cable box or digital media stick. I looked at the back of the tv and couldn't find anything to actually connect it to. *Then there was the air. There didn't seem to be any actual air filtration system, and I had the AC running the whole time. When i first step foot into the room I noticed there was a stale smell. Like the room hadn't got any fresh air in a long long time. I ran the fan on the ac but it would turn after a few minutes so I kept the ac running the whole time, but it didn't help. After ordering room service one night, let's just say I would have been embarrassed to have anyone ever because the room smelled like food. *I used the phone to order room service, the room service button didn't work, so i called the front desk. The static on the phone was so bad that I could barely hear the person speaking. They then transferred me to the restaurant to order. Although, there were no materials in the room that mentioned room service or how to connect to wifi, or what's going on in the hotel. Did the hotel have a gym? I have no clue. I had to google online to see that the hotel actually had room service. I tried placing an order online several times and I got an error every time, which is why I called in the first place. *Then there's the wifi. Like the room service, there were no materials or instructions to tell me how to log onto the wifi. I just opened my wifi and found one I hoped was for hotel guests and connected. The problem is, the wifi would disconnect frequently. I'd be in the middle of working or streaming (you know, because the tv didn't work) and it would just stop. Then I'd spend 15 minutes trying to reconnect. Wifi is the bare minimum amenity and to be honest, is more of a necessity these days. So the fact that the wifi provided by 21c was the level of a Motel 6 was disappointing. *Then there was the pillows. I understand that everyone has their own preferences for comfort. But the pillows on my bed were way too big for their pillow cases. They had to be stuffed into the pillows cases so much they were practically sphere shaped. Have you tried sleeping on a ball? It doesn't work. So every night i had to untuck the pillow from the pillow case to let it expand, and sleep on a half-exposed pillow. At home this is fine but thinking about all the other heads on this pillow grossed me out. Then every day the pillows would be tucked back into the too small pillow case. I don't know if the maid on that floor just didn't want to grab the correct size pillow cases, or if the hotel just doesn't supply the correct size, either way it's a problem that shouldn't be a problem. *Then there's the service. When I check into hotels, no matter the star level, the desk person will usually go over things like wifi, amenities, check out time, etc. When I checked in the man took my card, ran it. Handed me my room keys and then practically whispered "elevator's over there". As mentioned above, I have no idea if there was a gym, what time the cafe opened/closed, if there was room service, if there were special events (this hotel looks like it would host some fun stuff during the week), because the check in desk just handed me my key. I had to Google anything to get answers. *Food Service: I ordered a burger from the cafe one afternoon, it was around 3pm so it was far from the lunch or dinner rush. I waited 25 minutes for this burger to brought out to me, I almost thought they forgot about me. When i took the burger upstairs to eat, it was luke warm. It seems like they DID forget about me. Overall there was a vibe of "barely anyone works in this hotel". Something felt off, like is this hotel fully open? It seems to be because the restaurant is thriving, but the hotel itself was lacking. I'd like to be clear, each one of my complaints on their own are no big deal, but when you add them all together it really makes the experience subpar. There is so much potential for this place since it is pretty cool, but everything else just kind of fell flat.
