I booked this without reading the reviews then read them after and was a bit concerned, however we were pleasantly surprised as although the rooms are small we had everything we needed. The staff were helpful and friendly ( Ibony, Dwika, Mark, Kyroz) . We were able to check in early with no charge. We were happy with the cleanliness of the room and the bed was comfy. We did see a few girls on the streets around the hotel but this was not in your face at all. 10mins from the metro. Quiet hotel. Good value for Singapore standards. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance.

Average, but there's a better location.

This hotel is a decent pick for a budget stay, but the location makes us a bit uneasy since it’s right next to a red-light district. It’s probably not the best idea to walk around here late at night, and we found that out from someone while we were heading to the hotel. The room is pretty small, especially for three family members, and there are no dirty clothes to put in, but I'm glad I bought a lot of eco bags for our dirty clothes. On the bright side, the receptionist is super nice and helpful, and the cleaning staff does a good job of tidying up when we ask. Plus, it’s really convenient since it’s within walking distance of bus and MRT stations, with lots of food places close by.

Our hotel is indeed well located with close proximity to many restaurants, public transport and convenient amenities. Other than Aljunied MRT station which is a 8 short minutes walk from our hotel, there are also many buses which you can take from our doorstep for easy access to the city center. As Singapore is a really safe country and soliciting is not allowed in our country, many of our guests have shared in their reviews that they did not feel like they were staying near a red light district. Just like in Tokyo and Hong Kong, most of the rooms in budget-tiered hotels in Singapore are not big. Our rooms have been carefully designed to balance comfort and affordability. The dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Shame on you Ibis.

I’ve booked this hotel for 4 nights but left the hotel after the first night. I wouldn’t have slept there if it wasn’t the fact I did arrive really late. The dirtiest place I’ve ever stayed in. The carpet on the floor corridor was dirty beyond imagination. The room was super small and dirty. The dust under the bed was appalling and the bath absolutely disgusting. Broken sink, with hair from previous guests. Loads of old soap glued to the base of the tap. The waste bin has not been emptied. Hair and dirt from previous guests were still inside. The overall condition of walls all over was really not good. I wonder how such an hotel can carry the Ibis brand. I’m still waiting for a refund of the non slept nights.

I booked on 14 April 2024 (4 nights )online paid (70 USD) per one night, the morning receptionist is terrible , unfriendly and unhelpful, I keep asking them to let me book earlier but they firmly refused, so I have been left waiting at outside reception near a vending machine for 3 hours with a very noisy guests .Moreover, the room and the bathroom are so small with no refrigerator ,and they don't provide water bottles. There is a big noisy construction site just behind the hotel .My advice is to stay away .

Going to Singapore solely for concert purpose but decided to stay for 3 days and 2 nights to explore the city's attractions and enjoy a holiday experience. Decided best to booked here as it is cheaper than any other Ibis hotel and it prove me right. The hotel is easily access from main road, got restaurant/shop available in front, and nearest public transport. The interior is clean, the room is clean and lucky for us we got good window view & quiet neighbour, had the best sleep for two nights. Plus point because the receptionist name Anis & housekeeper is friendly & helpful. For those who want to go to concert and deciding which hotel to choose, I'm gladly recommending Ibis Ruby for the stay. Going out from the Indoor Stadium at 11.20pm and arriving hotel at 12.00am by walking from MRT Mountbatten. Had the nice and chill night walk while having pcd hahahaha Room (Superior Twin Room): Suitable for max 2 people as the room is small but comfortable. Using 3-pin plug similar as we use in Malaysia so very convenient, have plug for charging wire also. Have ketttle, hair dryer, hanger. In bathroom have towel, dental kit, body wash. Convenient for light packer like us. Room & bedsheet also clean & comfortable. Safety: Singapore is safe, so do their 'red light district'. Geylang is the low-cost hotel located, so the surrounding is understandable. Yet to walk at late night with your friends, it is still safe. Never have I ever get cat-calling or anysort. Just be caution and don't walk mindlessly okie Walkability: Very suitable for anyone who will be walking back and forth to public trans and hotel, with covered roofs along the way to MRT stations. Hotel to MRT Aljunied is 9mins walk. Hotel to MRT Mountbatten is 12mins walk. So you can choose which public trans you want as there is shuttle bus available nearby. Notes: Got the best receptionist name Anis. Answered every questions asked by phone call and easy to deal with during our stay. Even allowing us to check-in as early as 12pm even we just call to drop baggage and come back later after lunch, but glad that we can check-in early. Anis is very helpful and friendly, really a hot take for this hotel.
