Overall, ibis Styles Singapore MacPherson delivers a pleasant stay with excellent service, though the rooms could benefit from a refresh. Like many reviews online mention, the hotel is known for its friendly staff, clean environment and lively restaurant and I can agree with that. Upon check-in, I noticed that the sheer blind in my original room was not functioning properly. I immediately informed the receptionist and to their credit, they promptly arranged a room change. The replacement room was an intermediate, slightly smaller room but everything was in working order, which I appreciated functionality matters more to me. One personal observation: the room colour theme feels very youthful with strong orange and red tones. It might appeal to younger guests but I personally found it a bit unusual and slightly overwhelming for a hotel room. The highlight of my stay was definitely Level 4’s Chat & Chow restaurant. It’s consistently busy which speaks volumes. The staff there are fantastic, helpful, friendly and approachable. What impressed me most is that both the morning and evening teams maintain the same positive attitude despite being different staff members. Well done to the team. This is honestly the main reason I’m giving a 4-star rating. Location-wise, it’s acceptable but requires some walking. You’ll need to walk to Mattar MRT (Downtown Line) or take a bus to Aljunied MRT (East-West Line). It’s suitable for guests who don’t mind walking or using buses. The gym is small but the equipment is adequate for a basic workout and well maintained. The pool is also on the smaller side especially noticeable when many guests are using it at the same time. As an Accor member, I do feel that Accor Group should consider refurbishing the rooms soon to keep up with the expectations of loyal members and to match the strong service standards provided by the staff. Final verdict: Great service, excellent restaurant team, and decent facilities but room upgrades would elevate the overall experience significantly.

A hidden Gem of SG hotels🙏🥰

Ibis Styles Hotel Macpherson is such a surprise in so many ways. We’ve been seeing this hotel in Agoda/Trip/Klook but this is the first time we’ve decided to book this hotel coinciding with Black Pink concert. The other go to hotels we’ve booked are pricier during this time so we booked Ibis Macpherson. We found in Agoda a Standard room with Twin beds at 18 sqm this is one of the largest rooms we had in Sg at a very reasonable price of 140 SGD ++ per night for a peak weekend with no breakfast. The hotel is located near Tai Seng MRT or Macpherson MRT. They offer free shuttle daily at 11 am only to Orchard/Chinatown/Paya Lebar. Tai Seng is about 15 mins walk via Grantal mall but buses are there between both MRTs to Ibis. Checkin was fast and smooth and we were booked on the 5F with a view of neighbourhood outside. The room as mentioned is quite big and spacious and clean/tidy. The room’s Earthy tones matches that of the hotel with a touch of Orange/Red. It has black floor tilings on toilet/shower area and Beige tilings on the main bed. Shower/Toilet is on the right separated by Black glass doors/walls. The shower is also separated by glass door from the toilet and it follows the room’s tone of Red/Orange/Black colors. There are no toilet bidet and they provide toothbrush glasses, toiletries and clean towels. In the shower are they have both rainfall and traditional plus a body wash provided in container. Water pressure is strong and heating working perfectly. There is a Black/Red plastic cabinet and wardrobe that serves as divider between toilet and bedroom. When you slide the door you would see the sink and toilet which is quite interesting. They provide safety lock which is a plus including clothes hangers and if you need slippers its upon request. Clean towels which are provided daily and if you stay more than 2 nights they will do 1 housekeeping on 3rd night only. Next to the wardrobe is the mini-bar with compartments and a Japanese style kettle with White cups. This is a unique piece similar to a try only its electric and holds the Water Kettle itself and serves are placements for the cups. They provide complimentary coffee/tea/bottled water daily located on the compartment on this side table which is a big plus. Next to the minibar are the 2 twin beds which are quite big from the standard ones. Beds, Mattresses and Pillows are clean, comfy, soft and fluffy. Mattress is just the right firmness and softness and the blankets are just the right thickness. Across the bed is a huge flat screen TV surrounded by an artsy frame like an Eye shape and has a lighting effect at night. TV has lots of local/cable channels but their Wifi is a bit slow sometimes. One of the perks of our room is the wide and huge window with compartments below and a blackout curtain. Our view of the neighbouring place is Amazing!!! The hotel have breakfast buffet at around 14 SGD but we didn't avail and the selections were quite plentiful. They also have a pool and fitness center which we also didn’t get a chance to try maybe next time To cap off my Very good review, finally the staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating to our requests!!! I stayed here for a long transit in Singapore. The staff were friendly and great with my kids. The room was good. The pool was a highlight to burn some energy before our next flight.

Good location with mall and restaurants very near. Helpful and friendly reception staff. Comfortable , bright room with huge window. Nice outdoor pool next to hotel bar/restaurant which also has outdoor seating and friendly staff. Enjoyable stay ! 😊
