I had a wonderful stay at Raffles Bahrain. It’s truly a beautiful property with an amazing location—close to key attractions yet peaceful enough to feel like a private retreat. The interiors are soothing, elegant, and thoughtfully designed, creating a calm and luxurious atmosphere throughout the hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always willing to help, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Service was consistently good, from check-in to dining and housekeeping. Some additional highlights included the immaculate cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and the overall sense of comfort and sophistication that the property offers. Whether you're looking to relax or explore, Raffles Bahrain provides the perfect balance. Highly recommended for a relaxing and memorable stay!

We stayed at Raffles Bahrain as two female travellers from the UK, and overall it was the perfect choice for uninterrupted peace and luxury. The resort is designed like a palace, and the villas truly reflect its grandeur. Our one-bedroom villa came with a private pool and jacuzzi, three TVs, and so much space that we genuinely had no reason to leave the room. From the start, the staff made lovely impressions. Arijit was very helpful on our first day, even providing an HDMI cable so we could stream Netflix. Jackye, our poolside waiter, delivered exceptional service and made our stay truly memorable. Daniel at the pool and Ahad at the Palma breakfast restaurant were also fantastic. A special thank you to Ahmed for retrieving my AirPods just in time before my airport transfer — such a lifesaver. ⸻ Positive Highlights • In-villa breakfast option: If you book a breakfast board, you can instead redeem a credit of 12 BHD per person for in-villa dining — highly recommend. • Spacious villas: Extremely large and perfect for small groups, families, or friends. • Book via All Accor: You can redeem 10% off your first booking and earn points for future stays — also highly recommend. • WhatsApp butler service: Convenient and responsive for most needs. • Delicious dining options: Do not miss the date almond croissant at breakfast. • Relaxed atmosphere: Staff and guests generally give you privacy and space — ideal for a peaceful getaway. • Authentic local food: The seafood Machboos was delicious. • Guest access: You can have external visitors at your villa up to 10pm, which is fantastic for those travelling with friends. • close by to Bahrain International Circuit, F1 track - you can enjoy outdoor gokarting here (SO FUN) ⸻ Areas for Improvement • Remote location: The resort is very secluded. Expect 40–50 minutes of travel to main attractions like the malls, Grand Mosque, or Bahrain Bay. • Overextended staff during events: During our stay, the hotel was hosting an Indian wedding, a Saudi holiday crowd, and a media event. At times it felt like regular guests were deprioritised, and we had to repeatedly chase staff for service — not the 5-star experience expected from Raffles. • Buggy wait times: Often 10–15 minutes, which feels long for a luxury resort. • English proficiency: Could be improved for smoother communication. • Pool amenities: Fun inflatables (e.g., flamingo float, ring floats) would elevate the main pool experience. • Pre-arrival communication issues: Despite multiple WhatsApp discussions about birthday celebrations and room preferences, none were met on arrival. Pillow requests and the birthday setup were missing, and we were told beforehand that the villas had Netflix — they did not. • Welcome experience: We weren’t offered a welcome drink or even water at check-in, which felt unusual for a 5-star property and for the Raffles brand. We redeemed our All Accor welcome drink later, but arrival should have been more attentive. • First breakfast at Palma: Service was very slow — over an hour — with forgotten items like ice and ketchup, and difficulty getting staff attention. This ultimately pushed us to switch to in-villa dining for the rest of our stay. ⸻ Overall Raffles Bahrain offers exceptional privacy, cleanliness, and modern facilities (the hotel is only a year old). It is a beautiful choice for groups and travellers seeking peace and seclusion. However, the service — while excellent from some standout individuals — is inconsistent and still has room to grow to reach true Raffles standards. We genuinely enjoyed our stay and believe the resort has incredible potential. With more consistent service, it could easily become one of the top luxury escapes in the GULF.
