Nice rooms, bad service at restaurant and reception

Hotel room was nice and big. No amenities in room. Others in group booked same type of room but got a bath instead of a shower. Service in restaurant slow (we were the only people in there), and then brought out the wrong order on both main and dessert, on two different nights. Finally, ordered a taxi through the hotel to the airport, for 7 people (price and van confirmed) - a taxi for 2 people turned up, and hotel then said it wasn’t their problem.

Unfortunately, we did not receive any specific note with your reservation indicating a preference for a bathtub, which is why different configurations were assigned. We sincerely apologize for the issues you experienced in our restaurant, including the slow service and incorrect orders. Your remarks are very valuable to us, and we will certainly share them with our restaurant and reception teams to prevent similar situations in the future. Could not sleep until 3 am, because of a party in the same building. A hotel where you cannot sleep is simply a bad joke and not a house you would recommend to anybody. Tried talking to the reception desk - but got nothing but lame and hypocritical phrases.

The hotel itself is quite new and nice, with good cleanliness and decent housekeeping. It’s a bit far from the city center, but that’s clearly stated, and for us as heavy walkers, it wasn’t a problem. The pool area and especially the spa are quite small for the number of rooms, but it would be sufficient if it were for hotel guests only. We knew in advance that some lanes might be reserved for swimming lessons, but it turned out that lessons take place there every weekday evening, leaving only one lane available for hotel guests and other visitors. My biggest complaint goes to the front office. When I made my family booking directly on the Mercure hotel website, I added the breakfast option. In the confirmation email, however, it stated that only one adult would have breakfast included. So I wrote to the front desk, clarifying that I wanted breakfast for all guests — two adults and two kids — and asked them to double-check. The front office confirmed this. In the end, we were charged again for the second adult’s breakfast, which I can accept as a misunderstanding. However, the day before our departure, they wanted to charge us for our older child’s breakfast as well. Of course, both children’s ages were correctly entered in the booking form. I immediately discussed the issue at the reception; the lady there explained that children over 12 are charged for breakfast, but she agreed it was clearly a mistake on their side and promised to discuss it with the manager. On the last day, however, we were still charged for our child’s breakfast. The same receptionist seemed surprised when I pointed this out during check-out, as she said the restaurant staff had been instructed not to charge us. What a mess.

Please be assured that the full schedule of planned activities is available at the reception desk as well as in the rooms. Additionally, we provide clear information in the common areas of the hotel regarding the approximate hours when the pool area is least occupied, to help guests plan their visits accordingly. We sincerely apologize for the confusion regarding breakfast. A few days before your arrival, a trainee at the reception incorrectly confirmed breakfast for all guests. This was explained to you during your stay, and the additional payment for the second adult was clarified at check-in. Regarding the breakfast charge for your child, this case is still being verified with our restaurant manager. Compensation for the inconvenience was provided during your visit. We appreciate your comments, as they help us improve our services, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you and your family again, providing a smoother and fully enjoyable experience. nice hotel but very poor services , I was expecting being ALL menber a complete different attention . They gave me a diseable room without informing prior , they forget to clean my room.......

In your case, we offered connecting rooms, one of which was designated as accessible for disabled guests. Upon informing you about this after your arrival, our reception team promptly offered an alternative room located further away; however, this option was declined. Regarding the issue with room cleaning, after consulting with our housekeeping team, we received feedback that one of the rooms was serviced as requested, while the other guest refused the cleaning service. A nice hotel, a short Uber drive from the Old Town

I have stayed in wakling distance from the Old Town, but considering Uber connections I think this hotel in the outskirts offer better value for my travel budget. The rooms are modern, offering a spa area and dining in walking distance. Good value.
