Stayed here for 3 nights. It’s very well located for the main train station, Krakow Glowny. Once you exit the station via the underpass the ibis and the Ibis Budget ( which are joined together) are 50 yards right ahead of you. You can walk into old town in 12 minutes and the local huge mall in 5. Room is typical Ibis Budget, same layout wherever I’ve been and perfectly functional with very comfortable beds. Wish they’d put the light switches a bit higher as they stick into my head when I’m trying to read in bed but a minor point really. Staff were polite and helpful and printed me out a timetable for my train travel to the airport on asking. There’s no hairdryer in the room but they’ll loan you a good one at reception. Checking in and out is easy and fast, particularly check out. Room and bathroom clean and well kept with very nice cleaning ladies who were very helpful when I couldn’t open my room door. The only gripe I have was the breakfast. Very poor choice, very poor quality with no hot food at all. Couple of breads, couple of cheeses, lots of pickles. Now if you were paying budget prices this wouldn’t trouble me at all, I’d say it’s worth about £3.50 for the convenience mainly. But no, you are expected to part with 45 Polish zlotys for it. That’s £9. In a city where you can get a fabulous evening meal for under £15, it’s absolutely extortionate. So stay at Ibis budget but whatever you do don’t buy the breakfast. Walk to the mall and get something much better!

The hotel has a lovely location... Station adjacent, old town square 15 minutes walk, adjacent mall with very many food options and garment stores, nearby supermarket open by 6AM, all you seek for. We were instantly given tea maker and cups when asked for, super fast check in, all good. Bad side is its room size. No place to keep suitcases, keep tea maker, move around.. just get into the room and jump on the bed. The window is large with clear view. And the toilet! Worst design. Bathing area seperate, commode seperate like a ghetto, and basin within the bed area... The design is a disaster for long stays. But good for a night stay or so.. All in all a hassle free stay in a badly designed room. Highlight: just walk to the station. Walking out of the hotel, step down to the underground pass and walk 200 meters and you are in the platform! Great. Save on taxi fares

Staff at reception very unapprachable, stand off ish and make you feel like a nnuisancef9rbaskign a question. Lots of time is spent chatting and going on mobile phones. Very unprofessional and unwelcoming. The workers seemed very young and need to learn some skill around hospitality. In contrast the staff at the non budget ibis next door where very helpful, welcoming and approachable and the restaurant served beautiful food. We had not seen this option to book at the other hotel prior to planning this trip but next time we will stay there sure. The location is excellent only 15 minutes walk to old centre and right next to the train station. The train from there goes directly to the airport around £6 each way.

I booked this hotel solely because of arriving in Krakow off a late flight and the hotel being so close to Krakow Glowny railway station as I didn’t want to have to get public transport or taxi once in the city The hotel is 2 mins walk off the platforms , go right to the end and through an underpass and the hotel is right in front of you so it couldn’t be more convenient Yes the room was basic but tonnes better than many other budget hotels I’ve seen, room was spotless, bed was firm, yes the shower and sink are in the room but for one night it didn’t bother me as I was only in the hotel for 11 hours. Only downside in the room was the pillows were really thin and soft which may give some people a problem Reception was impressive and easy to check in, no bar though so for my Accor welcome drink it was tea or coffee and I was basically handed a cup, sachets and a kettle to make it myself lol a machine might be easier Would I stay here for more than one or two days? Of course not but for a short stay it is absolutely fine and I’d return when I have early / late flights to due location and how clean the whole hotel is

I stayed at the Ibis Budget Stare Miasto hotel in Krakow for three nights back in April and I had a good experience. It’s titled Stare Miasto which means Old Town but technically the old town is a little walk from there but it’s in pretty close vicinity. It’s a huge building with half of it is an ordinary red Ibis hotel and the other half is a blue Ibis Budget hotel. It’s literally right in the heart of the city center with the train station only a couple of hundred meters away as well as the international bus station the tracks is right next to the hotel but you have to walk maybe 8 minutes through the mall the Galeria Krakowska which is a little bit farther down the road 4-5 mins literally huge mall with about 150 shops and a huge food court. You’ve got bus stops and tram stop right outside on the street outside the hotel and there are several Zabka and other small convenient shops right outside. The room was a standard Ibis Budget hotel room which was impeccable clean and there were no damage or any other discrepancies. WiFi signal was all right and the TV sas basic and a little small and without Chromecast but absolutely all good. A/C good functioning. The view was over the street tunnel on ramp to a major road that experienced heavy traffic in the morning and afternoons that was somewhat noticeable so a room not facing the road and possibly the train tracks which you also could hear at times is perhaps a better option and also the view was into an office building that had partial view into your windows which could perhaps be a bit intimidating for the office workers potentially being able to see right into your room during working hours. No recognition of Accor ALL Gold status and no welcome drink given despite asking. The configuration of separate shower and sink and toilet chair sections is a little bit impractical and unusual but not such a big deal. The hotel is widely popular with bus loads of school children from all over Europe there to visit the Auschwitz Birkenau and the historical and educational significance sites in the Krakow area and it’s a lot of noice and youngsters running around a lot and long waits for full elevators which might be a nuisance for some. In general I was pleased with the stay and overall value for money. Very basic and some nuisances as previously described but the price and the fresh and clean condition in combination with the superb location is very good. I would recommend it and could stay there again.
