Mercure Ambassador Seoul Hongdae

This is my first trip to Korea.I had a great stay at Mercure Hotel.The hotel is located in the downtown area, but the interior is very quiet.Hotel staff are equipped with high professional skills.The one that impressed me the most was Sean Lee.He is the most dedicated hotelier I have ever met.Here's the thing: I lost my phone in the taxi and forgot the license plate number. Sean Lee patiently helped me throughout, even though my English and Korean were both poor.Eventually, it took him only two hours to get my phone back, it was very efficient and reliable. Thank you very much Sean! Looking forward to my next trip to Korea, I will still choose Mercure Hotel.

We had an amazing stay here! Room was nice and all the staff were very friendly. Cleaning ladies in our floor did their job well in cleaning our room and were also very nice, always greeting and smiling. Front desk receptionists also speak English well. The only thing they need to improve ASAP was the breakfast buffet. Everyday of our stay, the breakfast spread did NOT change! scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bacon, stir fry beef, kimchi, cream soup, hash brown, breads, cereals, salad, slices of orange fruit, grape juice, orange juice, brewed coffee not good, teas. We usually get hotel breakfasts for convenience and did NOT expect this from a Mercure brand hotel. We only stayed 4 days and on our 3rd breakfast, I just pushed myself to eat since it was our last day. What if we stayed longer?! I can maybe forgive the minimal number of breakfast courses but they should at least change the selections every 2 days! That said, just go out to nearby cafes or CU (accross the hotel) for your breakfast. For the price and experience, Breakfast buffet NOT worth it sorry.

This hotel is the best hotel I have stayed in, worldwide!! I live the friendliness of the staff along with their willingness to help!! Two staff members that went above and beyond are Jayden (Thanks for making my birthday extra special) and Sean Lee (Thanks for the elevator conversation, it showed me that you care). While on the Mercure bus, I accidentally left my iPhone (without locking by password. ) Struggling with the station's customer service due to my limited English skills, I turned to Mercure's Jayden for help on the evening of November 10 at 9:30. Jayden dedicated time and skillfully used Korean to communicate with the central bus station, successfully recovering my lost phone. It was truly a miracle, and I expressed my gratitude with a tip. Despite being the hero who saved my journey, he humbly declined, leaving me feeling guilty. I want to extend my sincere thanks to him for his professionalism here.

Very nice place, just in the middle of Hongdae surrounded by cafes, restaurants and coffee shops. If you don’t like busy place this is not for you. It can be very crowded in the day time up until midnight! It’s 2 minutes away from the metro station. The room is spacious and very clean and all the staff we encountered were helpful and polite.
