Couldn’t rate this hotel more highly. Went on a little solo travel few days on the Eurostar and the hotel is clean the staff are very kind and accommodating, the breakfast is great, it’s about 8 minutes from Gare de Lyon which is 2 stops from Gard du Nord - what more could you ask for?! Paris is just great. Every morning the staff were greeting me with bright faces and tolerating my dismal French. Many of the staff have great English and those who don’t are patient and generous with my incompetence 😂. This morning one asked me how I was and I said tired but was checking out that morning and he offered to push back my check out by an hour. For nothing. Just to make my life better! It was also about £100 less than other similar hotels. The room was pretty big and I had a terrace! Opposite is an exceptional crêperie and it’s a short walk to Bastille where you can keep going through La Marais if you fancy. The Plantee walk thing is moments away also and is beautiful and relaxing. Will definitely go again!

We’ve stayed in this hotel many times before. It’s a 5min walk from Gare du Lyon. We like the decor and the vibe. Good bars and restaurants nearby. This time we found the bathrooms looking a little tired sadly. Check in staff lovely but they didn’t mention that breakfast was no longer included. We had a v early flight so just grabbed a juice and a pastry, we were then charged 15euro each as we left. The man who checked us out was a little grumpy. There was a lovely selection for breakfast it’s just a shame we didn’t have time to enjoy it. Such a shame as this has been our fav hotel in Paris for years! Supermarket 2min walk from the hotel where you can buy beers, wine, snacks etc.

We tried again the next day and they said we should have spare bedding in our room in a cupboard, we told them we don’t have any cupboards in our room. There is no storage. They said they would see what they could do. We came back around 9/10pm to our room and found that it was unlocked and the door was open. When we went into the room the lock was left on the door to keep it open (pictured). The room had all our valuables in (passports, jewellery, cash, cards etc) and had been left open all day by I’m guessing housekeeping? Despite being told reception was 24/7 there was nobody there to tell. The breakfast was okay, the coffee machine was awful and tasted so weak. There were other guests touching the bread and not using a cloth to cut it. The bathroom had a sewage smell when the water turned on. The only good thing about this hotel is the location but I would not stay here again for that reason and I would not recommend to anyone to stay here. It’s incredibly expensive for what it is.

Arrived late due to train delay, check in was quick. The lift was very small could only fit two with luggage at a push. The room was the weirdest I have ever stayed in and we have stayed in lots of hotels, the sink was actually next to the bed outside of the bathroom, the bed was up against the wall so there was no way for my husband to get out, or to put his drinks during the night, to get out he had to shuffle to the edge of the bed been careful not to knock his knees on the sink at the side of the bed to go to the toilet, this room should not be sold to couples and trust me it was not a cheap room. The towels were old and worn needs replacing should not be reused. We left sign for our room to be made up however when we returned late night the room was not made up and the sign was still on the door. In the shower tray there was some black mould which needs to be cleaned with bleach, and the shower head needs descaling. We only choose this hotel because it was close to the station but why a disappointment room 034.

Artsy-Writer inspired motif, modern yet comfy bohemian decor, modest building, and clean and cozy typical European sized room with a ceiling to floor French doors window to view to accommodate one to two guests. The petite-déjeuner or breakfast offered an array of deliciously sweet, savory, and healthy options, beverage choices, and airy areas or little nooks to sit and eat. Great location and neighborhood in the 12th arrondissement! A myriad of restaurants, bistros, a grocery store, pharmacies, unique boutiques, Gare de Lyon train station and more all in walking distance. Most importantly the hotel staff I interacted with daily were gracious and accommodating, including the housekeeping staff. The receptionist Ismael and Stêphane were extremely helpful, patient, and took time to answer and explain my questions, always with smiles. Madame Tanja managed the petite-déjeuner with a kind spirit, bright smile, and warm hug. I was able to practice my little French speaking with her. I was comfortable, felt very safe, and would definitely stay at ibis Style Gare de Lyon Bastille hotel property again!
