Nothing to complain about. Meets the Mercure - Accor standards that you might be used to. Comfortable room with all the necessary amenities and functional AC. The pool is nothing fancy but it's great for an afternoon dip or kids. Good continental breakfast with choice of breads, fruits, scrambled eggs, sausage, etc. The lady at reception was very helpful. I arrived much earlier than check-in time and she was kind enough to provide me with a pool towel that I could take to the beach to kill-time.

My son and I spent the weekend of 25 & 26 at this hotel for we had a Marseille swim event on saturday. The hotel is just fine but the reason for this post is the staff. Now, Mercure is a large chain, but it is run as a 'mom & pop' hotel with lots of personal attention for the guests. We could ask anything and they would be as flexible as possible to give whatever we asked for like a late snack or some cream for a skin rash due to the swimming. Everybody was helpful and with the most beautiful smiles on their faces.

We stayed here twice, each time for two nights. March and May 2022. This is a real gem of a hotel right in Marseilles. We used this pet friendly hotel as a stopping point to break up our road trip. We stayed each time in one of the garden rooms which although snug, was immaculate and well equipped. Each room has a Nespresso with some complimentary coffee pods. There is also tea making facilities with a kettle. The bathroom was also delightful and again well equipped. The hotel has free secure parking, which is not common in this city. The hotel has lovely gardens and plenty of outside seating / tables. There is also a pool which was not open in March, but was in May. The Hotel has a snack menu that operates in the evening which was good. Donavon the maitre d’ / barman / waiter is a delight who is passionate about the hotel and the food. He explained in detail about the ingredients in the food that was on offer and is proud of all the locally sourced delights. His knowledge of wine was equally impressive. He made our stay both times, even better. The breakfast is continental style. The hotel was fine for us to use Deliveroo and have lunch delivered as they do not have a lunch service. We are planning to travel again in September and are keen to try and incorporate another visit to this lovely hotel.

The hotel is not in the centre but if you are exploring the city is a reasonable base. Not too far from old town and port. Access by car is typical for this part of Marseille. The hotel accommodation is set out around a courtyard and so feels spacious and secure. In one of the newer parts of the hotel our compact room was clean and in good repair, with all the basics including a fridge and complimentary water but would have benefited from one or two more power points. WiFi was ok, and the included breakfast, while not the widest selection, was of decent quality.

Very good location, nice set up but not a 4 star hotel. The bed sheets and the towels were stained... the reception had two nice people but one not nice and questioning our need for more towels and shampoo etc... no complementary water ... ac very strong in the sofa area but non existing in the main room area. Breakfast was not great and service was lacking. No one to help with the luggage even though you arrive on a non even parking which makes it hard to roll the luggage. Didn’t respect the “do not disturb” on the door. Apparently mercure is taking over so hopefully they will upgrade the service.
