We stayed for 4 nights for a weekend getaway. SLS is an absolutely beautiful property. You are attached to a Vegas style casino (something like Pallazzo) and Grand Hyatt and Rosewood. Grounds are immaculate. There are plenty of activities and hangouts for the whole family including golf, tennis, pickeball, and others. Food selection is very good and the beach is a dream, with turquoise waters and food trucks along the beach. The service staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Food is very expensive. Assume US$150 per person per day if you will be consuming alcohol. Cleo restaurant was better than expected. Fi'Lia was terrible. Avoid at all costs. The Manor was the spot to be on a Friday/Saturday if you're over 30 for great cocktails and live singers. Your room is stocked with 2 complimentary cans of water. Ask for extra and you shall receive. Lastly, a taxi from the hotel to downtown should be about $30. You'll be charged $50+ if you don't confirm the price ahead of time. The hotel bell desk can help you with this. Taxi from the airport is between $40-$50.

Well traveled travel- avoid this property

To anchor this review, background is that I have traveled all over the world and stayed at many fine properties. SLS Baha Mar is not one of them. I was here on a bachelorette trip and almost everything that went wrong did. - We had booked a suite with 2 queens and a pull out. When we arrived we were given a room with only 1 king and a pull out-problematic with 6 guest for obvious reasons. The hotel did not resolve the situation. Instead, one of our guests had to purchase a second room. This is un acceptable. That room should have been comped. - In our room, the toilet often got clocked, the AC or fan made a clicking noise that prevented restful sleep all night. I could also hear loud music late. - We requested blankets 3-4 times and never got a set, even after 3 days. It took hours to get towels. - We had prebooked a daybed at Privilege and upon arrival were given a hard time about entrance. There was a foam party and the foam blower was not disclosed on the prebooking bed map, had piles of foam blowing into our potential seats. The property did nothing to move us to another location but rather told us they would refund us and we could then pay to enter. They should have been kind and thoughtful about how to resolve the situation but we were faced with a bad attitude and rudeness. This was supposed to be the highlight of our trip for eating and lounging and we didn't have a dedicated space to do so. We would have had foam blowing in our faces and food which is unacceptable at a $300+ price tag. The appropriate way to handle the hiccup would have been to comp the seat and say sorry we messed up. - On our departure we were charged for 2 cars to their airport despite needing only 1 and booking 1. The hotel was unwilling to refund prior to check out and needed to "launch an investigation" - this was 3+ hours before departure where the airport is 9 minutes away. Unacceptable. While that on its own is not why I gave it 2 stars, it's how the management handled these situations that was very poor, often arguing against the guest. The beach and property is pretty hence 2 stars not 1. The customer does not come first here. I would have expected the staff to offer something for creating a poor environment for 6 women only waiting an enjoyable weekend away from their children. Instead they made it challenging, frustrating, and were rude at many times when issues were raised. This is not a high end property. It's like a los Vegas club and feels like one with the attitude and lack of respect for customer.
