This hotel has very helpful and lovely staff who will try and accomadate you in any way they can - we must mention Hollie as she went out of her way for my daughter with learning and eating difficulties each night of our stay - ensuring she was happy with her food and really making her feel at ease. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The towels were changed most days although we felt this was not necessary. Tea and coffee making facilities replenished every day. We were part of an Alfa coach tour and were booked in for bed, breakfast and evening meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and felt the food catered for every taste. The only downside was that the plates were very cold and the air conditioning at the food end was set to arctic conditions meaning that although the food was in serving dishes on hot plates, it was only ever lukewarm. Possibly a microwave should be provided. The waiting staff worked very hard and were rushed off their feet at both breakfast and evening meal. We would certainly stay again.

Probably best to avoid.

The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fine. I had to move into the Harlow Hotel as an emergency because my flat was deemed a fire risk. I arrived with two large suitcases, a bag, a small rucksack, a handbag and a walking stick. I went to reception to check in where I was greeted by a girl who gave me the impression she was in her first day as a receptionist. She faffed around on her computer and told me she'd booked me into a second floor room. I asked where the lift was, she said there wasn't one. Could she not see that I had a lot of luggage and a walking stick. She asked if I'd prefer a ground floor room. This seemed like a good idea. Every other time I asked this girl a question during my stay, she looked at me with a blank expression and said she didn't know. A complete waste of space. The food at the restaurant was nice but the menu was extremely limited. After staying for two days I was told that I'd have to leave because they had double booked my room. Administration does not appear to be a strong point at the Harlow Hotel.

We have ensure all team members are appropriately trained to handle the various service scenarios you encountered to ensure you have a seamless service. A few of the team members at the Front desk are currently undergoing training and we will ensure the Front desk management stay close to avoid these kinds of situations from recurring. Our menu is also going through some changes but we are always ready to accommodate any dieteries or special requests. Check in was super fast and efficient Parking on site had to be paid for, but that said was spacious and problem free The room was of a good standard, clean, comfy bed, good quality products provided in the bathroom A peaceful nights sleep The bad bit ........ Breakfast was an added paid for option, a cooked breakfast is not too hard - you would think? The that's on the hot plate were in a sorry state - fried eggs crusty brown awful looking, scrambled eggs a few clubs in the tray, mushrooms looked raw along with the tomatoes next along, the hash brows looked OK, the bean tray scrapped clean, bacon scraps like shoe leather, and finally half a dozen reasonable sausages. I asked one of the very nice ladies (Blanca) clearing the tables, if there was any plan to replenish the hot food and also asked for a couple of poached eggs, she went off to the kitchen to find out, after a few minutes she returned with a plate with 2 fried eggs under cooked (whites snotty) I asked about poached and her reply was that's how the chef said he cooks them, I asked about scrambled and alas they were out of stock ??????? Even the staff took some pictures to send to their WhatsApp group as there was no manager to sort / address the problem All in all a truly awful experience!!!

Everything was great about my stay until I got to the breakfast room. The person clearing the tables and resetting the tables was full of flu and was constantly wiping his nose with his hands, which did not have gloves on, and proceeded to use those same hands with the new cutlery and serviettes. It’s a past me so much that I actually could not even eat my breakfast and I probably left the breakfast room!!
