Always an absolute pleasure to return to this Hotel. A fantastic Platinum welcome. Please a special mention for the below staff members who went the extra mile providing quality service where nothing was too much to ask: Amy, Tom, Adriel, Dean, Peter and Maria. It was also wonderful to see Emma at Reception who I have given 5 star google maps review for before as well - certainly deserved. A huge thank you to the Chef for the amazing Mushrooms. Thank you for a great stay,.

I would say this hotel is rough round the edges. First up, the car parking. As others have said, you get stung for the car parking charge as soon as you walk in. Check in otherwise fine. But then walked in our room and it was freezing cold. Window was soaked in condensation with a draught coming through it. The door frame had two nails sticking out and I caught the sleeve of my jumper on one, and it ripped. Not the best of starts. Changed rooms. Heating worked. But the room was above the on site health club and a chlorine smell from the swimming pool seeped up through the floor. Then there was the constant banging from the double doors on our corridor and a mysterious and almost consistent humming noise at night. Whilst the heating worked in this room, it was uncontrollable and the thermostat wasn't working so it got roasting hot and couldn't open the window. I reported it only to be told that maintenance weren't working that weekend. Crazy. We had breakfast. Wasn't bad. Although the pastries were dry and the hash browns were overcooked on the two days we stayed. On the plus side, the location is good, staff were pleasant and friendly. But the hotel needs some TLC and and a bit of a makeover in certain places to persuade us to visit again.

Very disappointed with paying for car park been to this hotel 4 times and never had to pay for parking x breakfast not very good not fresh tastes like it's been there ages.our 1st night the room was freezing we told reception and someone came to look they said they will sort it but it didn't get warm we had to go bed early to get warm. The car parking charges on the website are hidden away very unscrupulous disgraceful x when we booked in the reception said we had only booked for 2 breakfast we had to prove to her by showing her our email that we booked and paid for 3 breakfast. This hotel has definitely gone down hill.

We had dinner. Family. 4 adults two kids. Service was very good. Friendly and accommodating staff. Yuen and Dan were fantastic. Food was dead on. Pepper sauce was nice. Battered fish was well battered and crispy with good meaty fish inside. Steaks well cooked. Prawn noodles good but just needed some chilli. Mash was plentiful and nicely mashed. No lumps. Dessert to follow. Update in due course. Kids got free biscuit.

It was a very friendly and very attentive service. The colleagues Yuen , Dan and Steve were on hand and provided a really quick service. Yuen, Dan and Steve at the mercure in Telford centre were exceptional polite. The hotel was really easy to find and we’d stay here again
