I enjoyed my entire stay! The valet on staff August 23rd-24th were friendly and welcoming. Lydia at the front desk was a pleasure. She booked my stay over the phone and it was wonderful meeting her. The building has a lot of history that I enjoyed learning about. The room was clean, charming, and with had eclectic touches. The art gallery was amazing! The old bank features were remarkable! My massage with Tara was very relaxing. She was personable, warm, and skillful. I’ve been raving about the Durham location since checking out.

VERY overpriced for what you get.

I would not stay here again. Way overpriced, and hotel layout is super confusing. There was one elevator working, which took a long time to reach each of the floors. I bumped into so many people who were lost trying to get to the lobby, the spa, fitness, you name it. It was impossible to figure out how to get anywhere. The room was tiny for my family of three - we barely had space to put our suitcases on the floor. The in-room coffee situation was pathetic and the refrigerator wasn't cold. There is no hotel parking, other than valet, and parking downtown is challenging. It wasn't clean. Not recommended at all.

This hotel has a ton of potential however lacks the basics. We stayed here for one night during a family road trip from Florida to NY. I actually tried to change the booking after realizing that the location is not ideal for families with small kids but mgmt would not agree to an exchange so we stayed. The art piece of it is cool and modern. Location is great if you’re into night life and bar hopping. For the cons, they really need to clean the place up. The floors are stone and were filthy in the hallways and room itself. The bathroom ceiling was falling apart because of old leaks I presume. Sink was clogged and didn’t drain. The place was dusty and just in need of basic tlc. The hotel advertises itself as having “free breakfast” when booked with your reservation. That’s not accurate. It’s a voucher that you get towards your meal and if you’re a family (as we were), it covered about half of our breakfast. Overall, I would say that this is an ok place to crash for the night if you don’t have high standards, but given a choice, I would not stay here again.

Eccellente hotel in downtown Durham. Camere pulite e luminose. Personale educato. La presenza della galleria d’arte è sicuramente un valore aggiunto ed un’esperienza non comune. La colazione viene effettuata con una convenzione e può non necessariamente essere inclusa nella prenotazione. Il prezzo non è sicuramente economico ma adeguato e consistente con le offerte alternativa
