Stuck up and inefficient

The best I can say about the room is that it’s clean. Stayed there in September 2023 and am still waiting for them to return the deposit they mistakenly took. The room itself was clean but there was no instructional support such as wifi codes, restaurant hours or gallery hours. We called down to get ice and we’re met with a hostile attitude as well as a long delay for ice. The bathtub was a massive health and safety risk and there was such a large gap between the door and the floor we had to put a towel down. The only good point was their valet service who were charming and helpful. Really not worth the money they charge to deal with them and the attitude afterwards.

Well located, interesting concept for a hotel. Located in a former bank, hotel is also an art gallery. Rooms are nicely laid out. However, the execution is lacking. Beds are not good, the deadbolt on our door failed, the shower head spewed water everywhere. There is a Nespresso machine in the room, that's a nice touch--but its probably the noisiest home appliance I've every heard. If they do a better job running this hotel, it could be 5 stars.

This hotel is so unique and we loved our stay here. All of the staff were so helpful and friendly and we had a great experience with the GM Michael. Our room was perfect--the bed was comfortable and everything was spotless. We really enjoyed the restaurant too! Thank you Michael and your team for your hospitality and for making our stay so special--we will be back!!

A beautiful and unusual hotel! Great location, great ambience, great rooms. Walking distance to restaurants, sights and the Durham Bulls. Take in the phenomenal contemporary art in the building when you're there. Also, kudos to the staff. Very friendly and helpful.
