We have stayed at least twice before and enjoyed it. This time the hallways and rooms seemed rather dimly lit. We had been at a music festival all day and evening and looked forward to coming back to a cleaned room, but that was not the case. The front desk said that housekeeping had to be requested in order to receive it. We had not been informed of that upon check-in or in any of the communications we received before our stay. Understandable during a pandemic, but it would have been more acceptable if we had been told that.

Loved this hotel! Great location! Inclusive. Gorgeous. Loved the cheeky penguins! Proof on Main restaurant was great for breakfast, definitely not “hotel restaurant food”. The biscuits were out of this world. Everyone was very kind and helpful. The woman at the front desk at night on 9/11 was fantastic.

It was an awesome experience. My only gripe is pretty simple to fix. That would be to stop hiding behind the covid situation and not offering daily room cleaning. Nothing more deflating than coming back into your room after a long day of meetings, and finding that the room was not refreshed!! Worst of which I was not told that at check in that that was still your policy. I get that some guests would not want the room cleaned because of their scare of the maid having covid. But those of us that are not afraid of that would like our room cleaned!! Just my two cents.

Shocking lack of room attention compared to past years

We were there for 8 nights due to a horse show. Have been staying in this hotel over 10 years. Should have been told there would be no Orion for room service or breakfast. The 3 places we had to try where horrible and we got breakthrough Covid due to lack of any protocols. Our room had not been maintained and ready for guests. AC unit leaking, carpet wet leading to moldy smell. The air filters had not been changed as the dust was shocking. When I asked on Thursday to have our room serviced was told no as it hadn’t been 3 days, that was day 4. Finally got trash cans emptied and clean towels. We are so saddened by what has happened with your hotel.

Liked that everyone wore masks and hand sanitizer was everywhere. Great food from the restaurant and the museum is very good. King room had ample seating and lighting (rare in hotel rooms).

Had to change rooms 3 times because they were not cleaned. Final room was cleaned (I think) but was missing towels and soap. Was put in a room next to a loud barking dog (all night). Called the front desk and the reply was "there is not much we can do about that". Did not sleep and had to leave at 6am vs. spending the morning in the hotel because of the dog. Front desk staff was indifferent at best about my concerns Upon check out, the front desk person said, "I'm new, if you have concerns call the main office".

Found this hotel on our trip across the country--from California to DC. Both art lovers with little time to stop at a museum, this hotel concept was intriguing and did not disappoint. We loved the diversity of artists and media in the exhibit. The guest accommodations were beautifully appointed, comfortable, and quiet. The on-site restaurant was excellent. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Proximity to the waterfront was a plus.
