Excellent experience with all the staff. Very accomodating and friendly. Adrian at the front desk was especially helpful. Only downside that the walls are thin (we could hear our neighbors) and the mattresses were on the firm side.

The art was nice, but the lighting was very poor downstairs, and it only took about 30 minutes to see it all. The spa was not open in any kind of meaningful way and the steam room was closed for maintenance. The restaurant only served brunch in the mornings on weekends; otherwise it was closed except for dinner. The room service menu was very limited and tracked exactly the menu from the restaurant. There were no easy choices and nothing within walking distance for more basic food. I personally don't want something along the line of rack of lamb or oysters every time I eat. No housekeeping, valet was $38 a night to park and the nearby parking garage is not ideal, especially for women. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I left after one night of a four night stay.

We were visiting Louisville briefly while travelling to visit colleges with our daughter. It was our first time in Louisville and our stay at 21c Museum Hotel may our stay so enjoyable. During our brief stay we could tell the city had been impacted significantly by the recent events so we are looking forward to returning when the City is in its full glory.

My wife and I spent 2 nights celebrating a special occasion. We had high expectations based on Condé Nast Traveller awards and reviews. While our room (king deluxe) was spacious and the employees were friendly and polite, the rest of our stay was disappointing. We were first given keys to a dirty room that had not been serviced. While the staff apologized, that is an embarrassing mistake pre-covid but a simply unacceptable one post-covid. We slept well our first night but the second night was poor. Our entire floor smelled so strongly of pot that it was difficult to fall asleep. Brunch at the hotel restaurant, Proof on Main, was similarly hit and miss. The food was absolutely exceptional - the best brunch we’ve had this year. The service was friendly but inattentive; our coffee and water was regularly sitting empty, our side dish and condiments arrived 3/4 of the way through our meal. The hotel’s location and concept could lead to a wonderful experience but the lack of executing on the very basics was exceptionally disappointing. We will be interested to hear whether and how the hotel responds to our feedback.

With our current Covid procedures we are manually placing rooms out of order to hold them in a resting period after a checkout and also prior to check-in for our arriving guests. I have not heard of this happening to any of our other guests and it was certainly an error as we use the computer system for placing our rooms out of order and the return status was simply on the wrong status. Overall we have an opportunity to sharpen our procedures and appreciate your feedback. We will use them to engage with the team and work on our efforts for continuous improvement. It took a bit to locate the hotel entrance, but after that the stay went smoothly. Valet parking was good. Check in went very smoothly. The room was nice and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant had good food and good service. The location was central to downtown Louisville so it made walking to most locations easy. Staff were attentive and courteous and helpful. Enjoyed the stay.

My wife and I needed a long weekend getaway and we reserved the corner suite. It was a wonderful room with four large windows bringing in great light. The dining room table was perfect for having delivered from some of the great restaurants in town -- and of course, Proof On Main. The whole experience was very relaxing and comfortable; it was what we needed after being homebound for the last year!

I have stayed at 21c Bentonville and would rate its experience as exceptional. I expected the same experience in Louisville, but the room fell short of my expectations. As a boutique hotel I expected more. We stayed in room 317. The lamp shade by the window had a crack/tear. The bathroom was small and not enjoyable to try and get ready in. There was a film of red slime along the bottom of the shower door and the appearance of some mildew in the corners. Also the shower soap rack was broken. Impossible to hold travel size shampoo, conditioner and soap. The overall feel of the room was “worn”. Also I did not see this but heard from my room in the hall. A dog aggressively bark at another guest, I am assuming since I heard someone apologize that the dog never does that. I understand pet friendly and service animals, but no guest should have to worry about a dog barking at them. I greatly looked forward to my stay but was not overall impressed.

From the moment we arrived, until our departure, we felt welcomed and comforted in the hotel. 21C is a unique hotel, with an incredible in-house restaurant and a fantastic museum. We had a two night stay and didn't even leave the hotel until the next day upon arrival, we ate at the restaurant and toured the museum. Why even leave?

I can not sleep on bed pads and mattress covers impregnated with plastic. The first night I sweated, I then slept on top of the covers with the folded the other side over me which worked so I didnt sweat. There was. No Kleenex in the room. I am vision impaired and the bathroom was too dark to put ,makeup on, the lighting was too low.
