Fantastic weekend vacation in the Al Marjan Island

My wife and I spent three nights here over the weekend. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Our room offered a breathtaking water view, which was particularly stunning at sunset. The hotel's gym is of a very high standard, well-equipped with both free weights and machines. We also enjoyed the complimentary daily activities, especially the morning bike ride—an absolute must-do. A special thanks to Benson, who guided us on a fantastic hour-long tour of the island. His engaging manner made us feel incredibly welcome, and we look forward to joining another of his activities on our next visit.

Fabulous hotel with such friendly helpful staff. Shout out goes to Akram on reception, Yoshika who was always smiling and cheerful in the morning at breakfast, Karthik who was extremely knowledgeable about the area and Nang in Neros who again was always smiling cheery and very helpful. The only letdown was the lack of decent choice of food in the evening Breakfast was a amazing with such a lot of choice but the other meals were sadly lacking. Despite this we would definitely stay here again.

Poor Stay

Extremely disappointing stay from the moment we arrived and met with the most unfriendly receptionist lady. The food quality is very poor and well below expectations. Despite paying £456 extra for the dine-around option, the reality was nothing like what is advertised. Menus were very limited, several restaurants were unavailable, and venues were closed at very short notice with no prior warning. Paying extra for access to additional facilities and restaurants was a complete waste of money. The lack of transparency around what was actually available is misleading and frustrating. To make matters worse, we were informed that the pool was closing for a private event with only 20 minutes’ notice, leaving guests with no real alternative. This is unacceptable, especially in a resort where guests plan their day around these facilities. Overall, the hotel feels poorly managed, disorganised, and not guest-focused at all. This stay has been far from relaxing and has not lived up to what was promised or paid for. We would not recommend this hotel and will not be returning. On our final evening, the Boons bar was cleared of tables to move them outside, leaving us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome while trying to sit and watch football, with no alternative seating available. Once again, guest comfort was sacrificed without consideration. I have spoken with management on three separate occasions during our stay, yet nothing improved. Issues were acknowledged but not resolved, which highlights a serious lack of care for the guest experience. The paying guests are irrelevant as play second rate the the weekend residence of Dubai who visit. Overall, the hotel feels poorly managed and disorganised, with a clear focus on events revenue rather than paying guests. The reality does not match what is advertised. We would not recommend this hotel and will not be returning. We are returning in September but luckily not to this hotel. We should of been refunded the £456 paid for the Dine Around, instead of the insult of one day.

truly relaxing family holiday with excellent service

We spent the last days of our one-week family holiday at this hotel, after staying in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and these days turned out to be a real highlight of the trip. Very cozy atmosphere, all-inclusive comfort, and incredibly attentive staff. I would like to especially mention the team: Ajay at the reception, Saud who warmly welcomed us and upgraded our room as we hadn’t considered a child during booking, Jerun who helped with the luggage, Nikhil from housekeeping for the perfect cleanliness, Rakibul from the restaurant, and the restaurant floor manager, I have honestly never seen such well-coordinated and calm teamwork before. The spa and massage area is outstanding. Doris at the massage reception is wonderful, and the massage therapists are truly professional. All three of us had massages and every single one was excellent, from oil selection to atmosphere and technique. Rooms are spacious, very clean, with high-quality toiletries (we liked them so much that we later ordered the same products from the brand’s website). The beach is very clean, with comfortable loungers. It was windy during our stay, but the pools were warm and very pleasant. A big plus for families is the kids’ club: a huge variety of activities, very caring staff, Russian-speaking employees, and even movie screenings with Russian subtitles. We left our little sister there several times, and she absolutely loved it. The buffet deserves special mention, cuisines from all over the world, very tasty, well presented, clean, and always fresh. No complaints at all. One more experience you absolutely should not miss: there is an inflatable obstacle course in the sea. At first it looks like something just for kids, but don’t be fooled, it’s incredibly fun for adults too. If you had seen us there, you would have laughed out loud. Don’t forget to take life jackets on the shore, they are free and you will definitely need them. Huge thanks to the team there who keep everything safe and help you climb back after falling. If you want to go out, there is Salt cafe and a beautiful promenade just across the road, about a 5-minute walk. But honestly, we didn’t want to leave the hotel at all. Highly recommended for family holidays. Warm, comfortable, very well organized, with staff who truly care about guests.
