Had a wonderful 5-night stay @ Mövenpick, Kuredhivaru Maldives. The Architecture of the Villas/Bungalows, Restaurants, etc. is engaging, thoughtful and clever. Enjoyed some of the subtle touches like door panels made from tops of coconuts and gorgeous roof shingles. All spaces are open and airy so guests should not feel confined or limited in any way. The plunge pool in each bungalow is also amply proportioned for comfort and leisure. The only space on the island we felt did not live up to the excellence of all other spaces was the Gym, which felt very much like an after-thought in terms of location, amenities, equipment, general architecture and styling. The beach is lovely (all-around) just wish there was a dedicated area with laid-out beach chairs and umbrellas where guests could go relax, on a whim. It can be setup for anyone requesting, but it's a per-case/request situation. There were beach chairs and umbrellas at the Pool/Restaurant/Bar area, but the location of those were more Pool-centric and less Beach-oriented. Also, the view from this pool seating area, is not as nice as elsewhere on the Atoll. Food is good, but expensive. So I'd suggest getting one of the boarding packages (if not already included in your stay/booking). I found myself a new favourite breakfast - the Maldivian Breakfast. Would definitely recommend giving that a try ... it could keep one energized and sated from breakfast to dinner. Also really enjoyed the Seafood Platter for Dinner, but comes only with a few veggies, so you may want to add other side(s) if you want more staples as part of your meal. The 'Chocolate Hour' (4-5PM) is a great 'pick-me-up' for a late afternoon boost and nice bridge from breakfast to dinner, if you opt to skip lunch. It rained quite a bit the time we were on-island, so didn't really have a chance to partake in any excursions or other activities, but not really my speed anyway. I much prefer the solitude and relaxation. This was also our 2nd week in Maldives (having spent a week at another resort) so we were already properly sun-scorched. Thus, the rainy week actually provided a bit of well needed respite ;-) We did have 2 glorious days of Sun & Sand where we swam in the waters around our Bungalow. Beautiful water, clean sand, high visibility, not many rocks or other obstructions to talk-about. Plenty of fish to see (if you like that sort of thing) but not that many to intrude on your leisure (in case you're not into that). The staff at the resort are all wonderful and caring people! Welcoming, attentive, responsive and engaging but not overwhelming at all. And while everyone we encountered were absolutely lovely, 2 individuals really stood out for us... "Sheyma" (our host/hostess) made it so that we were wanting for nothing. Excellent communication and such a pleasant, easy-going and humble person - probably one of the nicest people you'll ever encounter - yet you always have a sense that she would demand & inspire the best of herself and her colleagues to ensure the guests were always properly attended to and taken care of, in any/all circumstances. She is professional yet friendly at the same time. A tough blend to achieve, yet she does it with seeming ease. Also, big thanks for putting my tiny little home island in the Caribbean, on the globe at reception! WooHoo! "Anna" works tirelessly between the various restaurants and somehow seems to know/recall all of her guests' needs, likes and dislikes ... so within a few days, she's got your routine down! She made terrific suggestions on meals (like that Maldivian Breakfast and the Seafood Platter) and always found a way to make my 'creature-of-habit' same/repetitive dishes, just a bit more rewarding the next day with a little touch of something unexpected but complimentary. She knows her craft and pours herself into making one feel at home, while away from home. Both 'Sheyma' and 'Anna' always asked about our days' activities (Spa, Gym, etc.). Uncanny how they always seemed to know what we were up to and were thoughtful about hearing our experiences so they could pass that along. Just a nice touch to make guests feel considered and appreciated. Kudos to both of them and to all the other staff at Movenpick, who made our stay memorable! Special mention for "Naeem" whose turndown service always included a bit of artistry. Well Done Mate! Overall, we had a really nice time at Movenpick and are looking forward to a stay at another property in Bali in the near future. If the resort and staff and anything like Kuredhivaru, then we're in for a treat!

We spent 8 days at the resort. The villas were amazing and comfortable, the staff was very friendly and accommodating especially Sheyma, The property was well taken care of. The only gripe was the food. The resort was 5 star, the food was 2 star unfortunately. It lacked presentation and taste, Selection was incredibly limited!

Thank you for making this trip an exceptional one! Since the very first contact through email for availability and reservations until the very last moment that we spent at this resort, everyone was so nice and helpful! We stayed at a ocean pool villa with Incredible views and abundant sea life early in the mornings and during the evening. Rooms are clean and beautiful, two nice restaurants with delicious options, everyday was full of surprises and nice details prepared for us. Secured protocols in place, staff wearing masks all the time and following guidelines. Jauzee, Ana, Mr. Chef, Ms. Hissan thank you again to you and all the team. Location is a bit far from Malé but it is deserved . The staffs re there very friendly and helpful . Food is quite pricey but all of them is very nice. Nothing to regret to choose this resort :) we had a lovely and amazing trip with movenpick Maldives.

It was my 7-8 times in Madldives and I was always delighted with the service, calmness and quality of this holiday. This time I chose the chain of hotels of Movenpick and did not expect at all that I would be disappointed, because I always so happy just to be in Maldives. First of all, the human factor (it is a little detail for someones, but I would like to highlight it) it is unfortunate that for the 10 days of our stay we did not meet the manager, it seemed to me that it is a pretty classic moment to be welcomed by hotel manager, but maybe not here. Also, the lack of typical moments of communication like "Hello, how are you" btw waiters and guests. Butler contacted us only once at the first meeting. The second point is the service, not once (I note NOT once) while we (me and my collegue) were sitting in the bar the waiter did not come up to us and asked for a drink or something to order, so each time my colleague and I had to come up to the waiter and ask 5 times a night. During the buffet, plates are not cleaned as a rule either. I’m not a fastidious person, but even it made me crazy. I want to allow myself to give advice to the management of this hotel. Please first debug the elementary details and then buy ads from bloggers (because of the last ones one day the restaurant-bar was closed in which we usually held sunshine every day because of photoshooting). Also, for the first time, I came across the fact that for vegans cookers do nothing and there was no particular choice for vegetarians either, I had to eat the same food including pizza. About pricing, I have nothing to add; each hotel regulates this itself, but with the combination of such a service you feel cheated. The most unpleasant moment was the ban on smoking cigars (hookah, and a priori bad tobacco is allowed but cigars are not) but then the waiter came to us for the first time and asked to move. If there were children, I would understand this. The interesting fact is that many Swiss hotels still have cigar lounges, but in this island it is forbidden in public places. We would share our experience if at the end we were asked about this personally at the reception, but no one asked us, and now I am reporting this by letter. Excuse me for these harsh and unpleasant words, but it is true. I do not want to recommend this hotel to friends or acquaintances. Of the advantages, I would say the villas on the water that they are new. But unfortunately the air conditioner (hung over the bed) was dripping on me, and one night the glass floor was knocked out by a wave, the craftsmen came to close up. There were good massages, went there every other day, very good.

My husband and I stayed at Movenpick for the end portion of our honeymoon. The island is absolutely stunning as is the hotel itself. Everyone working there was so friendly and helpful and the grounds and rooms were kept clean and tidy. Food was amazing and our overwater villa was breathtaking and such an incredible experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others the only downside which is not at all the hotels fault is the location of the island and how it’s situated right in the middle of the atoll so throughout most of the day and especially at night it gets very windy and waves get pretty big. I’m a suck for wind and was quite anxious at night trying to get to sleep hearing the waves hitting the villa. Maybe a few water barriers in front of the lagoon would help make it a little calmer but could also take away from the beautiful view. Other than that, I’m glad I chose to stay at Movenpick to experience a once in a lifetime trip to Maldives.

We couldn't have asked for a better stay at the Maldives. Our villa was incredibly luxurious and private, we loved the big bath, dip pool, the glass flooring and the stunning view. It's such a beautiful place and complimented by an incredible team of people who elevated our experience. We couldn't speak more highly of the staff at Movenpick and would like to acknowledge and thank the people who made our holiday so special! Top quality hotel on a beautiful Island

This was the 4th time we went to the Maldives with Movenpick resort being the latest. Previously we stayed at JA Manafaru, Constance Halaveli and Ayada Maldives. We rated Movenoick second on our list behind Constance Haleveli, but if you took the fact that Movenpick is a recently new resort and the fact that Movenpick did not nickel and dime you with fees then Movenpick resort is first on the list . The room was clean with friendly staff who did a good friendly job. The rooms air conditioning was quiet and efficient. Last year at Ayada Maldives the rooms air conditioning was loud and did not cool very well which bothered me. I slept well at Movenpick as it was a quiet room with not much outside noise. Amenities were good but the snorkeling was only good at the dive center but no big deal. They did not charge us for my 7 year old daughters bed and they did not charge for kids menu food. Because of this I would rate Movenpick a 5 star plus as they did not try to gouge me on extra fees. I would consider going back for this. The flight from Mali was only 45 minutes and not 2 hours such as to JA Manufaru and Ayada. The only thing I would rate less was that the breakfast was not as good as Constance Haleveli and could have been a bit better. But it was still a good breakfast and very pleasant. The dinner restaurants were also good. The food was fresh and good quality. The beach was great. All in all we enjoyed our stay and give it a 5 star way ahead of Constance

The property was amazing! Stayed one night at the Ocean Villa and two nights at the Beach Villa! Both the accommodations were beautiful providing utmost privacy and unimaginable experience! Extremely warm and very well trained care takers! Delicious food and most scenic views! One thing could be added is a door bell, to make things easier and not miss out on people waiting at the doors! Positives • Location and the environment was amazing. Not only crystal clear water but also an unobstructed view • Fantastic staff. Especially Anna in the Main restaurant was fantastic. They really did a great job to anticipate our needs • Food was good EXCEPT for the barbeque night which was a large barbeque buffet of dry uneatable dishes. We almost vent back to the room and ordered room service. • Great place to relax with great privacy Negatives • Still not sure what Lena who introduced herself as our butler role was during our stay, Besides picking us up at the boat we heard nothing from her • Information was lacking and information available on the in room tv system such as menus was different from what you would be presented at the restaurants. SO you basically had to run around every day to ask. • We bought the ALL INCLUSIVE as we wanted complete peace of mind and not having to think about the bill. Yet we left with a memory that the most common word we heard was “ That will be extra charge” if you are offering an all-inclusive please make it an all-inclusive and educated your staff so they not first say yes and 3 minutes later comes back with “Sorry that is extra charge” • Facilities was good but it was very visible that wear and tear was setting in and maintenance is not a priority. Not to the degree of being unsafe but general maintenance is needed throughout • We were unable to use our free activity as the only activity appealing of the three choices was only available outside of our stay and there was NO flexibility in offering an alternative. • Service was from the general staff very good but the it was clear that the staff had not been empowered ot make any decisions and because of that everyone had to ask and come back on even simple questions. This was the main contributor to us leaving with a overall feeling that everything was about “extra charge” • The photo experience was SCHOCKINGLY bad and had we not given the photographer some basic ideas we would have had zero picture we would have liked. There was no interest and no care and to top it all up the pricing plans was ridicules inflexible and prices not transparent. YOU as the resort should be ashamed of providing such a poor service. Don’t care if this is a third party provided the company is under your brand and working at you resort. It would have been great if there had been a photographer available at the evening events and circulating around the result and that you could have taken pictures that could all have added up and be purchased. Instead you had to book a expensive 1h photoshoot.. Well what is best having pictures throughput the stay at evenings, morning at dinner, or have pictures at one specific time a day… Whoever designed this experience and hired the photographer have done a really poor job

celebrating our 30th anniversary there, feeling rejuvenated. the only drawback is the breakfast and dinner restaurant, I forgot the name, which is not well ventilated and way too many bugs flying on top of almost every dish of food which make me lost my appetite instantly. hope you can fix it.

Amazing experience in beautiful setting & extremely friendly staff from the moment we landed. Spoilt for choice in respect of food options & theme nights. A tropical paradise & some amazing snorkeling experiences in crystal clear water.
