We had a wonderful time in El Gouna thanks to 1) very kind staff, 2) booked tours, 3) and good food. 1) We want to mention the following names for excellent service: Walid for room service. Everyday a new work of art made out of towels was placed on our beds. Abdallah (on picture), Gamil, and Abdo Gedawy for waiter service. They were attentive, and they've given helpful advice when needed. 2) We can recommend the catamaran tour! If you're lucky, you get to snorkel with dolphins.

The hotel overall was underwhelming, especially for a 5-star establishment. We expected much more. The buffet at the Palavrion Restaurant was just mediocre. The food felt like it was purely functional – nothing about the atmosphere or the food was enjoyable. Typically, you come back from vacation having gained a bit of weight, but we actually lost some! We were also promised “Zopf” for breakfast, which was never available. The room was decent in terms of cleanliness – not bad, but also not exceptional. After the first day, our washcloths and hand towels were taken away – presumably to be replaced – but they never were until the last day. We only had bath towels for most of our stay. The balcony was never cleaned, and while the room and bed were comfortable, it wasn’t particularly clean when we first arrived. The front pool bar was a big letdown. The food was subpar, and the staff seemed unmotivated. We were often ignored, which led us to switch to the other pool and the Lagoon Bar/Restaurant after just three days. The Lagoon Bar/Restaurant, however, was fantastic! The staff there were incredibly friendly and motivated. Special thanks to Reda and Ahmed, who were always cheerful and provided excellent service. Even the towel staff were always friendly and helpful. Honestly, if it weren’t for the amazing staff at the Lagoon Pool Bar, our experience would have been much less enjoyable. Thus, a big thank you to the whole team at the Lagoon Pool Bar & Restaurant!

Actually the pillows are fantastic, the service is always carried out with a smile, the staff are so friendly and they work so hard! Gardens so pretty and the lagoons are beautiful… would recommend hotel to anyone. El Gouna is clean, safe and feels exclusive.

We have been coming to the Mövenpick Resort in El Gouna for more than 10 years now. We love it because of the good quality, the friendliness of the staff and the desire to keep improving. All the staff do an excellent job, especially Adham from the Palavrion restaurant is very friendly and always ready to help. Mr. Khaled from the hotel management also welcomes us to the hotel every year with pleasure and always helps us with our affairs. We can only recommend the Mövenpick Resort and look forward to our next vacation at this hotel every year.

Good food, wagdy and Ahmet are the best! All the rest was good, especially the beer. They got diffent restaurants and bars for every day. Service is always friendly and ask if everything is fine. I think i will come again, hopefully Wagdy is there again!
