Exceptional Customer Service, and a great location

• Customer Service: Truly exceptional customer service. I had contacted the hotel a couple of months prior to my stay to inform them of a late check-in and to inquire about airport pickup. Every staff member who responded did so within an hour, providing detailed information regarding pickup costs, timing, and meeting points. Upon arrival, the night staff was courteous and understanding of our fatigue from travel. They expedited the check-in process efficiently so we could quickly get to our room and rest. Please note: the hotel places a temporary hold of €54 on your credit card as a deposit, which is released a few days after check-out. Additionally, a €31 city tax is payable at check-out. • Location: Located about a 30-minute drive from Zurich Airport. While the hotel offers an airport pickup service, you can also opt for an Uber if preferred. For families, there’s also a dedicated kids' playground on-site, making it a great choice for those traveling with children. • Nearby Shopping Centre: Within walking distance of the hotel, there is a convenient shopping centre featuring a variety of retail stores — both food and non-food, similar to what you’d find at Curry’s Digital. You'll also find several cafés nearby, perfect for a quick snack or coffee break. There is also a post office close to the hotel that offers currency exchange services, which was a helpful bonus for international travellers. • Cleanliness: Cleanliness is clearly a top priority at the hotel. Public areas were well-maintained, and our rooms were spotless. Housekeeping was detailed, and complimentary bottled water was provided daily. • Room: We had booked one single room and one double room, and both were ready and well-prepared for our arrival. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well laid out. Each came equipped with ample tea and coffee supplies, which were replenished regularly. The beds were cosy, and the overall room design made for a pleasant and restful stay. It’s evident that attention to detail is part of the hotel’s standard.

Konaklamamız iyiydi. Otel biraz eski. Kahvaltı güzel. Personel kalitesi otel kalitesinin üzerinde. Hepsi yardımsever ve güleryüzlü. Türkçe bilen personel olması da iyiydi. Odalarda su vardı. Odalarda basit terliklerden de olabilirdi. 2. Gün otelin ana giriş kapısının önündeki bahçede yerel halkdan gençler alkol alıp eğleniyordu. Müzik dinliyorlardı. Geç saatte. Ben aracımı açık alana park etmiştim. Tedirgin oldum ve aracı otelin kapalı otoparkına park ettim. Otelin önündeki bu olaya otel izin vermeyip uyarması gerekirdi. Ama güvenlik personeli yok galiba otelin. Bu durum otelin prestijini düşürdü bence. Ayrıca kapalı otoparka giriş çok karanlık herhangi bir aydınlatma ve bu yön otelin otoparkına gidiyor diye bir tabela veya uyarıcı bir işaret göremedim. Sol tarafta özel otopark karşıda kapalı bir kapı karşılıyor sürücüleri. Ve akşam oldukça karanlık. Uyarıcı levha ve aydınlatma olması şart.

Good Mövenpick hotel, outside of the city centre, with great staff

I chose this hotel as I didn't have to be in the city centre on that night. Because of its location (17 minutes train ride plus 3 minutes on a bus or 10-15 minutes by foot), the price was attractive. I was nicely welcomed, and upgraded to a premium room. It was large, with an excellent bed. Bathroom was well equipped although I prefer a shower to a bathtub. Good breakfast. And very important, great staff. A nice option when staying in the area.

Expensive, with no pool.

One night stay after watching the Lionesses in Zurich at Euro 2025. Train station a 10 minutes walk and then a short ride into central Zurich. Booked the hotel via hotels com based upon two key criteria. Free parking and a swimming pool. The hotel has neither. Parking is CHF 20 per day and the pool is in a separate facility and costs CHF 33 per person. The receptionist acknowledged that the pool details are incorrect on booking.com and other sites and said the hotel had been in contact to get the details updated. The hotel itself is pretty smart inside, and unimpressive from the outside, in a strange location attached to a small shopping centre in the middle of a residential area. Our queen/queen premium room was large and the a/c worked well. The mattresses were extremely comfortable. Unfortunately the pillows were pathetic, with no stuffing in them at all. Bathroom was clean, however the shower did not have decent water pressure. We booked half board, which given the prices in the restaurant appeared to represent excellent value. We only popped into the restaurant late, after the match, for a quick bite to eat so did not have the full 3 courses on offer. My daughter's soup was incredibly salty, howeverB both mine and my wife's mains were excellent and the waiter was very accommodating. Prices looked extortionate (it cost us CHF 11.80 / GBP 10.50 for a large bottle of sparkling water!) Breakfast was decent, as you would expect, with a good choice of hot and cold dishes.
