Sebel Civic is the perfect Hotel in Canberra to stay with our Dog

The Sebel Civic Canberra was an easy and enjoyable stay. We were travelling with our dog, so our room options were limited, but the room we received was spacious, very clean, and completely free of any pet odours. The bed was excellent, and overall the room felt fresh and well maintained. The location is fantastic—close to everything we needed—and the stay was extremely comfortable. If we bring our dog to Canberra again, this will definitely be the hotel we choose.

Had a great stay at The Sebel Canberra Civic. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-appointed with modern amenities. The staff provided excellent service and were very accommodating to any requests, making the visit comfortable and hassle-free. The location is extremely convenient, just steps from Canberra Centre shopping mall and right next to the ACT Legislative Assembly, with a busy bus stop nearby for easy transport around the city. Note that the hotel does not have its own in-house restaurant, but the nearby Clover restaurant located within the same building offers amazing meals and is highly recommended. The rates offer good value for money considering the quality and location, making it a solid choice for solo travelers seeking comfort and convenience.

3.7 out of 5. Great location. You’re close to everything. It’s an easy short walk to shops and restaurants. The room was a decent size. The bed was comfortable. The shower was a beauty - good water pressure and very reliable hot water. The soft pillows were awful. The TV interface is horrendous. Overall, I like the place and would happily round up the score to a 4 out of 5. My companions were more critical and wanted to score it a 3 based on lack of crockery, lack of a shower cap and allegedly inadequate bedside lamps

Nice hotel in the CBD..but no parking is a pain

Enjoyed my 3 nights recently on a work trip. Ideally located, clean well appointed rooms and I was LUCKY enough to snare a park in the council car park at the rear of the hotel each night, but I wouldn’t count on it. The staff were ok and check in was easy however I checked my visa balance and was charged for items from the mini bar I didn’t take, a quick phone call and sorted no problems so can’t complain too much. If you have kids, a disability or the weather is bad with no on-site parking, it might not be for you. 4 stars minus 1 for no parking.

Great Location, Comfortable Accommodation.

We enjoyed a five-night stay at this apartment hotel, 616 a Superior Room, bright, with adequate comfortable furniture and kitchenette facilities, the bed allowing restful sleep and the large window with a nice outlook to the Government Buildings and the Civic Square opposite. Serviced daily and maintained in pristine & hygienic condition. Reception welcoming and efficient and helpful when required during our stay. Many attractions and restaurants are within walking distance and the expansive Canberra Centre with its seemingly myriad outlets nearby. I would have rated our stay at 5* except the hotel does not have its own restaurant, therefore we were unable to take advantage of the dining discounts afforded by our Accor membership. The Sebel website indicates that Breakfast à la carte is available but does not mention that the café and restaurant are independent of the property, somewhat misleading in my opinion. That said, my wife and I would have no hesitation in staying at this property if again visiting Canberra.
