Checked in on the first day of my holiday and found mouldy, dirty bedsheets. Reported it to the front desk — I apologized once, but the staff was not surprised, did not want to see photos, and refused my request for a room change. I was only told housekeeping would replace the sheets. Housekeeping then placed the quilt on the floor while changing the bedding, which was extremely unhygienic. I could not continue staying in the room.

Very tired and dated. When are they going to spend some money on renovations??

The pros - convenient location to restaurants and shops , good room size. The cons - very dated , basic and tired. There were so many things that were not right. The aircon was not working properly working, so had to open the sliding door to the balcony, but because it was above the bus station all we could hear was the buses all night. . The layout of the room, how weird that the basin was not in bathroom but where you would expect the kitchenette to be. We had to ask for our room to be serviced on both days and it was still not done by late afternoon. The balcony door was broken, as was the handle and it didn't lock; and the state of the balcony was substandard, cigarette butts and badly peeling paint. This is a 3 star hotel at the best. To say this was a 4.5 star hotel on the Accor website is a joke! I have seen the recent reviews and you do not address the issues, when is this going to be addressed??

New Years Week.

This is our 2nd stay here at Novotel as a family of 4 for New Years Week. We enjoy it as it is central to all the shops, playgrounds, and sites. Everything is in walking or scooter distance, we only used our car for further distances such as, Zoo, Church, Go Boat, Lookouts, and etc. There's a tram just out front too. NY fireworks are just a scoorter ride away. Ezy Mart for late snacks just downstairs. We hit the pool and spa, whenever we had free time as it closed at 10pm. Breakfast always hit the spot! We were greeted and farewelled by Anton. It was an easy Check-In and Check-Out process. No hassle, friendly and good communication. All the staff at Novotel are awesome. The only thing was parking. It's $35 a day and first come basis, underground. Otherwise there's offsite parking 5 mins (drive) away for $26.

Nice central location with friendly staff. Everything is of walking distance with tram stop just outside the door. Room was nice, neat, clean and bigger than normal. Anton at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating to our request. Would recommend and stay there again.

Overall underwhelming for a Novotel. We get to our room and there was a bag of rubbish out the front of the door, still there when we went to bed. Speaking of beds, the roll-a-way bed required was not in the room. No towels in the pool area and the dirty towel baskets overflowing. No parking so charged an extra $26 per day to use secure parking down the road. Buffet breakfast was good, weak coffee, good selection of foods. Although our room number was not on the list so had to confirm with reception. Room was neat and tidy had a comfortable bed and pillows.
