From the moment I walked into the moment I checked out i felt like my skin was crawling! Check In: When I Checked in the "Concierge" was rude and had no issue swearing just in normal conversation and was playing heavy metal over the foyer speaker as she doesn't like the standard "Sh*t" to which I just ignored. Room: When I entered my room, I was hit it the face with a very stagnate wet smell, the floor was stained the curtains were ripped and had a weird discoloration to them as if they were used to wipe something up. The queen bed looked clean but upon inspection it had been remade with dirty linen so I checked the single bed in the room which looked like it hadn't been used or slept in - I slept onto of the bed as I felt like I would catch something if I slept under the covers! (I asked for a new room, but they were fully booked) Because of the smell I had to leave the room and go out as it was giving me a headache. Check Out: Check out was simple enough as they had a drop box for the Key Receipt: I asked for my receipt to be emailed to me as their printer was not working at the time but once I returned to my office to clear my expenses there was no receipt and i have been trying to get in contact with the for the past 2 weeks with zero success as they never answer the phone!!!!! AVOID THIS FACILITY AT ALL COSTS

This was our first and last time at this hotel . - No toilet paper in room just pieces of tissue on the sink - the toilet scrubber disgusting was dirty - no tv remote (went complained to reception was given a remote tv still didn’t work . ) - the room smelt like a smoker was previously in room . - tried calling reception couldn’t get through had to walk to reception they said some excuse of phone lines being down We complained and was offered complementary breakfast which was disgusting . For $174 a night I’d expect way more .

Avoid staying here

This place is by no way 4* so I don’t know who has done the rating. The curtains are filthy, the fridge has no shelves in it and the TV doesn’t work. Only 3 coffee satchels and you need at least 2 in a cup and the room only gets serviced every 3 days thank goodness I’m only here 3 days. The whole place is very outdated and totally unappealing and certainly doesn’t make you feel good staying here. They are blaming the tv issue on old TVs and 3G being turned off but that was late October and we are in early December so that isn’t acceptable to go that long without fixing the problem - a TV is something expected in a room. I read the reviews before I booked this place and should have taken notice because I absolutely regret it now, it was purely for the convenience of being close to where the meetings were I am attending. It is very very clear management haven’t taken any action as the comments go back quite a bit. Best advice I can give is DO NOT stay here. There are a lot of really nice places to stay in Canberra that come highly recommended.

Accor and other motel sites post this as a 4 star hotel. I don't think so! The following is purely my opinion, based on my recent 5 night stay. I encourage you to view the Google reviews before booking a stay at this hotel. After my first two days I was transferred to my THIRD room, (114 then 524, then 520) the TV's didn't work, bed side lamp didn't work, rooms not fully serviced and cleaned, furniture stained, no glasses in the room, tea and coffee all but empty. We went to reception and asked for some glasses and was told they'd be sent over shortly.... we're still waiting for them! The hotel is dirty, run down, rubbish on the hallway carpets.... I don't think it's seen a lick of paint since it was built. As I was talking to recption on my checkout another man came and said his tv wasn't working and two mins later a woman checked out claiming her bathroom was riddled with ants..... Take a few minutes as I did (post stay) to checkout Google reviews.... they range from blood stained mattresses, half eaten food left in the fridge, mouldy socks under the bed, mould in the bathrooms etc. It's interesting to see the managers reply to the adverse reviews..... it's almost like he cuts and pastes the same answer..... I'll let my housekeeping manager know..... but it seems like nothing changes. And I only went back about 12m..... The rooms apparently are only serviced every three days, I believe. Do yourself a favour, stay at Abode or Garden City motel, only a few hundred metres away around the corner, in my case I'm paying $25 extra a night but let me tell you.... worth every penny. You'll notice that I have only given this place 1 star..... that's purely based on the fact that I can't give it less. Let's not be totally negative.... on the plus side. The showers are great, as is the wifi. Erin at reception tried her little heart out to make it right for us and in my opinion she, should be running the place.

BYO entertainment, soap and pillow

My experience is reflected in multiple reveiews over the last 12 months, none of which the hotel management seems interested in addressing. This is a two start motel with very little regrad for providing service and facilties of any quality. The best thing about it was the free WIfi was fast and plentiful which is good because UI had to stream entertainment due to so few free to air station being available on the SD TV. See problems listed below: • Room had not been properly service prior to our arrival – no soap and very little coffee, milk and sugar • TV was Standard Definition with only free to air channels meaning we had very little to choose from. • Pillows were the worst I have ever had on a bed anywhere • Breakfast day1 – no eggs available due to issue with supplier • Dinner day 1 – was initially told that my Accor membership only entitled me to 30% discount rather that 2 for 1 – this was checked and corrected after I challenged that position. Food was just OK but country pub rather than restaurant standard – In restaurants they tend to set the tables rather than telling you to collect your cutlery on the way through to your table. • As mentioned in earlier reviews the curtains do not block out light
