Visit year after year. Will continue to do so. Lisa on reception is the most friendly, yet professional person I have ever met. Nothing is too much bother. All the staff are fabulous but Lisa stands out from the crowd. Well done and thank you so much.

Nice place and mostly elderly people on excursions at the premises. They fit the into a better part of the dinner restaurant and offer small part for other diners. The food is good, but expensive, bar is expensive. The spa is poor, small sauna, hot tub and that's it. Not a spa at all.

We have visited this hotel twice and have enjoyed both trips. This time we had breakfast included which was lovely and fresh. We also arrived to be told we had been upgraded to a bigger room which was a fabulous surprise! The rooms are a little tired but very clean and the showers and beds look like they’ve been recently updated. The spa is small but perfectly useable and again, super clean. Staff at reception, in the spa and in the restaurant are all very polite and friendly. Our only complaint is that the rooms are extremely hot, even with the radiators turned off and the windows open, but we’ll definitely be back for a third visit!

The hotel is really nice, really clean, the grounds are beautiful, we loved the room it was very spacious and the beds were huge and comfy. The only issue was how hot it was in the room, the radiators were on and there's only two windows to open on a latch. There's also not a main light in the room. The staff overall were very lovely and friendly but a clear lack of training. At dinner the service was good until we finished our meal and asked for our desserts twice and then in the end went to the bar to pay, the lady at the bar was very nice. The food at dinner was OK, the steak was dry, no sauce with the steak? At nearly £28? The chips were not nice either, so a disappointing meal. The seabass was nice but one of the 3 pieces of fish was pure fat so not edible. The And I had a handful of peas in the fishy water. The biscuits for the cheese & biscuits were soft and the grapes and celery were brown. RESTAURANT We were sat at our table for lunch before we left and tried to order at the bar as no one had taken our order, the lady said someone will come to us at the table to order, they didn't so we went back to the bar to order and explained we were on a schedule. Our food came and we asked for white bread with no mustard but were given brown bread with mustard, the waitress took it away and got me another which I appreciated and she said the chef hadn't seen the note. If I had allergies this could have been a different story. Another table asked where their dessert was as they were also on a schedule, to the spa for their booked treatment, their dessert finally came and they had to rush it and leave. The manager said that it was because 5 tables were booked at the same time. 5 tables of 2 for sandwiches, crisps, nachos etc is not alot of people at all. Again we had to go to the bar to pay as noone came back. We were not once over the 3 meals asked if everything was ok with our meals. However we were asked at breakfast by the manager himself. The staff were absolutely lovely but the lack of training lets the hotel down. SPA The therapists were lovely and the treatments were really relaxing. The spa is clean but needs work. There were children running round in the spa, throwing balls and doing bombs in the swimming pool and were in the jacuzzi. All of which are advertised not to do but no staff ever came to ask them to stop despite being cameras in the pool area. People were also taking photos which is off putting as there's also a sign to not do that either.

Would never return! What an absolute disgrace! This was booked as a late valentines gift and upon looking at the pictures we got sent it looked stunning! Arrived and we was highly disappointed, whilst waiting to check in there was dogs just casually walking about, some layed on the seats in reception chilling with not a care in the word😂 then a group of children aged between 3-7 began running around the hotel with no parents in sights! Checked into our room to be confronted by the dirtiest most out dated room you would possible see!!! Bathroom dirty full of muck broken tiles leaking sink, Bed linen smelt like dirty water only one towel provided for 2 guest. No tissues provided in the bathroom and to top it off NO light in the room! Dining was very basic tasteless food the man serving was amazing though and always asking and checking that all the tables were ok hes a credit to that run down place. While dining children are allowed to just casually run in and out into the garden whilst people are eating. Not very safe when hot food is about. If you are looking for a nice relaxing clean hotel THEN DONT BOOK THIS PLACE! We ended up leaving as it was that terrible!!!!
