This hotel was excellent The staff were brilliant They all made us feel so welcome Nothing was too much trouble From the maintenance staff to the manager they were all First rate We had a deal for dinner bed and breakfast got two nights The food was lovely especially breakfast The room was a little tired But it was clean well equipped and warm and spacious I would definitely go back Thank you so much for making our stay so happy

Absolutely beautiful venue for a short break. Perfectly located for the City and the Peak District. Staff were brilliant - nothing too much trouble. Room was spacious, clean and well appointed. Spa was adequate although could do with a bit of TLC.

My partner and I stopped at the Mercure on the weekend and had a lovely time. As soon as we walked through the door, the staff greeted us and were lovely. The restaurant was also great for breakfast and catered well to my gluten and dairy allergies.

We recently stayed here with my partner and our nervous Dogue de Bordeaux, and from the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome! Our experience was fantastic. Nicky and the gentleman at reception ensured that every detail was perfect, creating an unforgettable stay. There were plenty of scenic walking areas nearby, and the room was spacious with a charming balcony. They even had a doggy station stocked with treats! The food in the hotel was also fresh and delicious! Would highly recommend staying here!

Absolutely amazing customer service the lady's name was nicky couldn't do enough for us was really friendly what a laugh we had with her that we have booked again for my sons 10th birthday she made us feel really welcome and at ease and the facilities where brilliant
